Nice to see him score again.
I'm still not convinced that he's anywhere near his prime. 48% pass completion rate. 19 out of 40 touches he had were turnovers. This has been an issue since His time in Hull. His sloppiness and decision making needs attention as you can't be this careless in intentional tournaments against good opponents

I think he has a little JB in him as a lot of times he tries to make a high risk pass. His first pass was a decent through ball but it had a little too much on it. 2nd pass was a back heel to a cutting forward that was taken. If that ball makes it through, the forward is 1v1 with goalie.
Having said all that, before the goal he wasn’t having a great game.

Plus:
- A clean finish on his goal. This type of goal was his bread and butter in Ukraine.
- You can tell he has snapped out of his funk mentally. For the first time in a long time, these past two matches you can see him play with the heart he did before his big injury.
Minus:
- 38% pass success and 46% touch to turnover ratio is indefensible. He has been dropping these type of turd stats a lot. In better leagues opponents punish you for that sloppiness.
A lot of head down runs with too many touches, some unnecessary back heel type of things cause these stats.Last edited by The; 08-18-2024, 03:52 PM.

I hope he is eyeing the golden boot….at this point, why not? 3 goals in 3 games is amazing for a winger (and an assist or two as well if I’m not mistaken)….he has always physically had the build to succeed, hope he continues to remain healthy and on the pitchTeam Meli Iran
