He was the same player leaving Akhmet as he was before getting there.

Sardar got to Leverkusen and Roma and struggled with consistency in real professional leagues.

Ezza's peak was playing in Reading.

Shekari is braiding his butt hair on a bench in Isfahan as we speak.

Russia might get you marginally better exposure than PGPL, but it is not a good incubator of talent for Iranian players.

But as always, I hope I'm wrong. I hope Javad and Ghorbani somehow end up improving after playing in Russia.
Nobody is saying rpl is a great talent incubator. It’s just way better than the alternative of wasting away in Pgpl. Really no argument to be had there…

Russian league , the top 2 or 3 teams where always in the championship league and the 4th to 6th finishers where in euro league or championship cup , RFL is better than any league in Asia , Russian are super strict with their athletics , all these players playing in Russia need to play there max 2 year get experience and then go to a better European league ….

honestly the best league or Iranian ideal would be Spain If they are good enough to get their

Russia can be a great incubator for our better players and even though they may end up in PGPL at least they have been exposed to semi decent coaching and facilities that are superior to those bach home, in addition to having the bacheh-naneh bred out of them.

The problem with Azmoun and Ezzatollahi were/are with their discipline and maturity level. I remember during one of my visits home before or as Ezza was moving to Russia, Ferdosipour had him on his show and all the two talked about was Ezza's fashion sense and his clothing line!! So you got it, we loos these guys and then wonder why they act like entitled shytes. We have players like Noorafkan and Shekari who were not really that good (I remember talking about how bad Noorafkan was when he played in Belgium and some folks here got really pissed). We also have Mil Mo types who stop developing for whatever reason. Not to mention players like Pashazadeh who never came back from their injuries.

To make the story short we need youth clubs (Kia) that are run by educated licensed coaches (Kia, Andranik or Hash and hopefully ARJ) not a bunch of tokhmi clubs run by Hezzi lat-o-loots and bachejbaz guys who know nothing about the game.

17 years old and not Spanish/Brazilian so highly unlikely to get regular pro league game time .

It would be less concerning if it is injury related. Otherwise it makes no sense, they take him after a trial and almost no playing time since

According to russian side, it seems they don't find him (Taheri) ready, may loan him

He's starting the cup match. I have it on in the background while I work.

Bad first half. Too selfish with the ball, too many touches/dribbles, not the best defensive positioning, and seems out of breath pretty early in the match.

thanks for the updates. Very shocked he’s not in good physical condition….he was like an energizer bunny in PGPL and I would have said his motor was one of his best traits. Maybe he had kabab for dinner last night? That would be the only logical explanation I can think of….

He didn’t have full pre season cuz of transfer drama. Just joined this team 3 weeks ago and wasn’t allowed to train with Sepahan before that.
