I think he’s sick of the press. The press don’t do any sort of actual follow up in Iran and just shit on players.

gn should kiss Taremi. Taremi is making himself the shield for TM and deflecting any criticism
    towards GN.
He should be sick of his coaches and teammates who consistently put in awful performances against significantly weaker opponents. Was a bad pitch at fault in Asian cup too?

If he doesn't like it, he can retire from international football. It is what it is... this is Iran, it's a collapsing country. So many people in that country are not making ends meet and this guy wants to throw tantrum for being called out for a weak performance.

There's a common thread here. Against HK, Syria in asian cup, and today, a semi competent coach is able to make adjustments at half time which put his objectively inferior players on equal footing with us as a team.

Even though we stole three points today, the vibe felt a lot like Skocic's loss to SK. GN is on the ropes. If he we don't at least have a dominant draw against UAE, I think GN is rightfully out of job.

I don't feel bad for him. I actually got caught up in the emotions of the Japan win and decided to ignore this guy's incompetence, but He made this mess himself. He could have gone with a young squad and at least have an excuse, but if you get dominated at home for an entire half against 102 ranked team in the world despite playing your strongest lineup, you've fucked yourself over. Nobody else's fault but you and your players.

Sooner or later there will be a new stadium. Just like the Milad tower, that was supposed to be finished 30-40 years ago, it will take some time. If it was a shia shrine, it would have probably be done in no time.

If there is any comfort if that ball would found the back of the net it would have been declined because of Taremis foul on the defender just before

With respect it is 2024 so every tactic in football by now has a specific name and execution. So what did GN use?
Strategy means nothing if your players can't string a few passes together. Means nothing if they are unwilling to run hard.

I am sure his strategy would sound fairly reasonable. What you saw was the execution.

He put players that can run at defences and break through lines (Ghoddos, Ghaedi, Hezbollahi). He put in players that can cross the ball into the box (Milad, JB, Gholi), he put in player that scores regularly with his head (Sardar). We had a very offensive line up and subs were mostly the same). It's up to the players.

          This is WCQ.
Indonesia Rank 133, ties Saudi in Saudi!
Bahrain, rank 80, Beats Aussies in Australia!
Palestine, rank 96 ties Korea in Seoul!

We won. Was a terrible win. Next game.

The coaches job is to make players sync and for a squad that has played together for close to 8 years it felt like they had never played together. That is bad.

There was no strategy. Throwing players in and saying "berin gol bezanin" is something anyone on this site could do for free.

As for hard work, the coaches job is to motivate the team as well. For as negative as CQ's tactics were, he had this squad outrunning South Korea, Argentina, Nigeria, and Wales. Even Skocic got more workrate out of them.

If Ghalenoei wants to be known as a disciplinarian than he should get our team to run 100% effort. Sir Alex or Mourinho would have beaten Azmoun to death with a hairdryer for his laziness today.

Not up their gears for what season? The only players season who is at a high pace is Taremi's the rest play in leagues with jogging pace

This game by the way was our easiest game on paper.

Every other team in the group poses somewhat of an offensive threat to us.

Wow that was just a pathetic performance.

We didn't even deserve the win, considering the chances we gave them and how poor our attack was.

We play with two strikers, yet we have Zero creativity or defensive stability in the midfield! What's the point?? Two strikers up top with no service.

Why not just play with one striker and at least have more control of midfield and add another body to help defend?

Things are just getting worse and worse with this amateur Ghalenoie.

We aren't beating Uzbekistan like this... Wouldn't even be a big surprise if we finish 3rd in the group!

Btw, the excuses about facilities makes no sense against Kyrgyzstan. It's not like they have state of the art facilities and preparation.

They're only ranked 132 in the world. TBH im surprised we even won considering their super high ranking! I wish one day we could have the same facilities as Kyrgyzstan. Our players could wish they could be in the same clubs as some of their players.... imagine if Taremi could have the honor of playing for Kyrgyzstani league AFC powerhouse club named Bishkek

I am not worried for Australia or korea, they will step up when it matters and do the job.

In our side, we are going to crash out sudden and badly very soon. GN set us a new low record with goals conceded against Afghanistan Kenya hk, loss against Qatar we always beat. It is now the turn of uae and uzbek we always beat before to finally beat us.

We could have had a smooth generation transition and qualifiers if this stubborn moron didn't boycott the youngsters and pick non tm material since 2 years. The star squad he wants to hide behind is now a bunch of uae league goozoo and jobless players. Cinderella effect.

You'd think that after the 1st goal they would've learned to keep shooting low shots and allow the ball to skip on that nasty pitch. We had 2 shots on target out of 20 shots!! Guys were kicking field goals one after another. It doesn't take a world class coach to be able to pick up on that. You mean to tell me no one told the players " guys stop shooting for the stars aim low!!" Are we really that dumb??

                                Too much hysteria.

You guys watch too much high end football and then expect our players to play like them and GN be Guardiola..

Our players are crap and our coach is crap and the field was crap, and VAR was crap...do you think we are Switzerland?

                                Got the result we wanted.

                                Next game.
