Amiri is great at chasing, winning the ball pack and quickly transitioning to attack.

among the central midfield players GN calls up, only Ezatollahi has decent defensive capabilities.

Amiri definitely fits the role better and is ideal for this game.

What we need is someone who can run first and foremost.

Even if Hosseinejad filled that role we might defensively be lacking but from a ball retention point of view we would be ok.

What we do NOT need is a slow body getting into duels in the air with Uzbekistan who is when we know Ghoddos and Ezatolahi are not good with second balls.
