Surprisingly he is actually doing decent. He is a type of guy who understands the game, having basically played in Europe his entire career. I think he is a guy who thrives when given specific instructions and coaching. Good coaching. He is not a type of player you put out there and say go make something happen.

While I do think there should be a changing of the guard with him on TM, I do think having him on the team is helpful and necessary. The guy is a smart football player and brings good leadership qualities.

He’s doing amazing. Best I’ve seen him since the Japan game

Another good 90 minutes and a big upset of PSV.

He was all over the defense in the last 5 minutes. Smart clearances, good decision making, and even a cheeky “injury” to slow down play and milk the clock. He’s a wealth of experience.

Damn, they beat number one in table PSV. Well done!

He had the highest rating on Google (no doubt thanks to all the Iroonis) and about a 7.2 average elsewhere. Not bad!

it seems i have to start to make time to watch his games...!!

lets hope his good form translates into TM ... but still a long while to got till then and Ali certainly aint unfamiliar with inconsistencies throughout his footballing career..!!? :/

I called Van persie yesterday and asked him to give JB a rest for cup match today. I told him he is embarrassing all of our Dubai-neshin players. He said ok I understand.

Ali tries a cross field diagonal which LW gave up a goalkick on.

His vision is definitely still there

I don't know how you are still excited by this guy. He provides no promises for the future, I would have no problem seeing him in UAE last summer for a well deserved last paycheck instead of Ghoddos and Azmoun

He's a talented professional who is playing at a competition level higher than majority of our players.

I think his time in this club will be something of a renaissance for him (barring any injuries).

What do you mean by being excited about this guy? I think everyone here is ready for an eventual transition to a younger winger in TM. However, why can’t we respect and enjoy literally the only player in our football with an ounce of professionalism. The guy is still starting in Europe. I mean that in itself says slot.
