As long as our boys don’t underestimate the N Koreans, the 3 points should be in the bag.

Don't look at the results. The North Korean team has played very good football to date. Probably better than the rest of our opponents. Should not be underestimated at all.

Because North Korea doesn’t really care about following rules , look what they did at the under 17 , they sent like a team that was a bunch of 20yrs old ,,,,

there is a high possibility their players will dope tomorrow, they don’t really care , they are always a aggressive team who will challenge everything

way to beat them score early let them open up hit them on the counter , if we play like we played the 2nd half against Qatar it was be like 5-0 ,…. Easy …

Tm has never lost to n.k in soccer.
                  That's impressive.
Before s.k made run at 02wc, n.k was most successful asian team in wc.

Also north Koreans believe they won the 2010 wc.

what they lack in quality they more than make up with fighting spirit and great hustle and scrappy performance, so it wouldn’t be easy to brush them aside..!
aggeh shol o vel bazi konim And you don’t get stuck-in vs NK from the get go you’ll be in for a long night..!

I remember watching the game in Pyongyang in 2005 with my dad and his friends, I think the game was on at 2 AM Est or something like that and my mom being pissed that I would be tired for school but my dad still took me to watch the game, I was totally dead the next day at school. We wont that game 2-0 if I'm not mistaken

Obviously the North Korean team is more a mystery given lack of playing time in general but there are some themes to note.

Can't write my usual bit as I'm away on vacation.

They do indeed play a more cohesive game than a lot of other teams in our group. They know passing triangles and through balls.

I saw their games and they rely on quick passing in triangles to advance down the wings. A very common tactic they use is one midfielder teeing the ball to the other central midfielder and then that midfielder through balls it to the wing. This could hurt us if our RB position is not sorted.

They have decent speed to hurt us on the counter. They are a bit weak aerially which is where GN will try to hurt them.

                        Their key players are:

Jang Kuk Chol--> their most capped CB and captain. If they stand a chance tomorrow its because he shuts down Taremi/Azmoun. He gives me Jalal Hosseini vibes with his playing style though not as good.

Kwang Son Han is one of their forwards and I would say above average dribbling for Asia.

Jong Il Gwan is the most capped NK player as a striker and runs in behind defenses. Our best bet is to keep the ball away from him.

North Korea's primary formation is 4-4-2.

An interesting thing to take note tomorrow. The choice of field may benefit us. The Laos national stadium is 95×60m which is actually on the smaller side of accepted field size.

To give you an idea Azadi stadium's field is 110x 75m.

I doubt NK will have space to counter the way they did vs Uzbekistan in Tashkent

Yes I do remember that game. We won 2-0 and there was a riot after the game. Apparently, a controversial call went against N Korea and at the end of the game they were throwing rocks and stuff. They had apparently blocked Iran's bus from leaving. I also remember how upset my wife was after I yelled goal at 2 in the morning.
