Can someone explain to me what GN was thinking with his subs ? He destroyed our midfield by taking Karimi out to put Cheshmi and Ghorbani in. God I can’t even watch Cheshmi play. He looks so akward when he has the ball, that itself is a liability. The right move would have been to bring in Nourafkan for Ezatolahi for almost costing us the game with his brainless plays at the beginning of second half and sub in some wingers. GN is so lucky Azmoun saved his ass. Mohammadi has been on fire as soon as he moved to right back. Watching TM is the biggest rollercoaster ride you can sign up for 😂😂.

Honestly his thinking behind subs is get the 1. oldest players (the older the more “experienced” in his eyes) and 2. the most physical guys (height and weight). This is why we see guys like Moghanlou Asadi before and Cheshmi.

GNs TM gave up 4 goals in 2 games against NK and Kyrg. CQ was finishing final groups of qual. with 2 total goals conceded. And there was actually strong team (SK) in those groups!

This is sytematic issue.
We also conceded 2 against Syria or suffered stupid red cards (Ezatollahi in Korea).
We lost to Lebanon and Uzbekistan...
CQ was not perfect either.

It is easier to cover up issues by playing defensively than offensively.

I am not saying GN is fixing things - he's not. But CQ and CQ type football is not the answer right now.
