This should have happened 3-4 years ago but better late than never I guess. He is head and shoulders above PGPL forwards but I am not sure he is more deserving of mins than a guy like saharkihzan who has been killing it….regardless I’ll be happy to see him in TM and be given a shot, we need depth in all areas now more than ever as we are wrapping up the WCQ cycle and preparing for the WC.

so even if one out of 10 of these players become like Ashkan, Gucci, it will be win win situation!
you give them chance in few camps and if they dont impress you move on !

This guy is so overrated. We had players from IPL who did better in their first year in Belgium and a kid from American college who is scoring more. As usual I’m afraid Iranians are being hypnotized by a European name and face.

If this is real then its only a trick from GN. Because of the pressure Khiabani put on him. Feed the news an unrealistic invites name to give the fans something to discuss just to distract from all the real young options he is overlooking. So in the end he can say well I was looking at other players (even khareji! wow!) but it didn’t work and the others weren’t good enough.

We have some crazy good gems abroad. Like the 6'5 beefy CDM Paya Pichkah IMO or Arash guy (RB). Even guys like Stuckler as well. All the games I've seen them play are always them balling out. I'm not saying they would all workout or get into the starting lineup, but inviting them and giving them a try for 20-30 min vs teams like Kyrgyzstan would be nice for once instead of beating a dead horse

I agree 100% with you but I've come to realize even Serie C is probably a higher quality than whatever we got as a domestic league currently. Our teams are currently 10 losses, 2 draws, 2 wins in ACL this season. PGPL is going through an awkward period where a lot of teams are rebuilding with youth after beating all their older players into their mid 30s with no youth prep whatsoever.

We're in the fuck around and find out phase currently after all of our teams found out you actually need to have a clear goal and vision in order to make it far in tournaments instead of buying random foreigners for $2 million that retired 10 years ago

Strange that if this is true, he picked Eckert instead of Kaveh because he surely knows who Kaveh is based on how his staff tried to reach out to get interest. He's also only 22 which might explain it

Absolutely, I love Eckert! My curiosity was because GN gets off on big tall players and Kaveh is even taller than Moghanlou 🤣🤣.

His staff also knows about Kaveh as well seeing as though they've been trying to reach out unprofessionally through random Instagram accounts

Yes! It goes both ways we had guys like Davari, Beitashour, Nazari, etc who didn’t deliver! Just for sake of playing in Europe doesn’t make them great candidates!
Also there are other factors such as language l, team chemistry, integration which play into the equation for these kids!
