    All these guys who have already been part of the Team Melli set up are better than Eckert ;

    Ahllayar ( westrloo, Belgium) - 23
    hossienajad ( dinamo, Russia -21
    hashemnajad ( tractro fc Iran )- 23
    hosseinazadeh ( tractor fc Iran ) - 24
    saharkhizan- (fc Orenburg) - 21

    plus there are players who are not part of TM but who are more deserving ;

Farshad Faraji ( Persepolis )he started the season abench player, now he the most consistent and best defender they have

Mohammad Khodabandehlo( Persepolis) - he is getting better with every game plus he has pace something we need

Mohammad hosseni Moradmand (Esthegal) - he is solid doesn’t make mistakes, he much better than khalizadeh

Mohammadhossein esmali- he has pace , he is technical , he can shot, he is young , he could have had a hat trick today ..

Wouldn't be surprised if regime told Ghalenoei to add Eckert so Iranians will become interested in Team Melli again lol

While I love Hosseinnejad’s potential, what has he done so far for everyone to say that he deserves a call before Eckert? The guy barely plays on his team right now. I think the only 2 guys on your list that should be ahead of Eckert are Allahyar and Saharkhizan.

The only thing the online grifters did is convince people that IR cares about football.
          It never has.

for the best example of what IR wants football to be look at Mashhad. A city with 2 unused stadiums with good pitches, multiple 5 star hotels, and zero clubs and investment in actual team football in the top 3 divisions.

          IR is laughing at us.

Why are we comparing Hosseinejad and Hosseinzadeh to Eckert? Their positions are completely unrelated. Neither of the Hosseins are strikers.... they're midfielders. They're competing with Ghoddos, Noorafkan, Karimi, etc...not for striker ..??

Regardless Eckert is a WAY better striker than Moghanlou and he's still in his prime. Stop being dramatic y'all

Leave it to Iranians to complain like babies and make conspiracy theories when there is ever an ounce of good news. Must be that allergy to progress lol

I think among the dual nationals, Eckert is probably the best one, followed by Zahiroleslam.

The other guys (Sweden and US based ones), I don't think can cut it.

We have much more youth than that we can look at in Iranian diaspora.

One example is: Milad Nejad who is Hamburg U19 captain right now and has 5 G/A in 10 games (midfielder). We have a bunch of kids like that scattered through out Germany and Netherlands.

I'm not saying they would work out, but it's always better to invest in someone like that versus beating a dead horse like Cheshmi. It's a win-win for TM. We have a bigger pool base of talent to invite from. What's the worse than can happen? They get some game time, we realize they don't work out, we invite Cheshmi back?

If he’s playing with u19 (4th division) at age 20… he probably won’t end up a high level pro and most likely not TM material.

We gotta wait and see still. But again, is PGPL better than German 2nd/3rd/4th if we're gonna be honest? Or Serie B/Serie C? Sometimes it's hard to tell to be honest with you. I would be curious about who would win in a game between SS Khuzestan and Cremonese/Padova/Hamburg 2/Borussia Dortmund 2

Reserve teams are just u23 or u21 level. Khuzestan would probably win. And there is a big difference between german 2nd and 4th. If there was 20 yr old iranian in german 2nd who gn wasn’t inviting i would be having a stroke every day.

Would you take Kaveh Rezaei in his first season in Belgium or Eckert who is being outperformed by IPL product and American university student?

I watched this kid play a half a game or so
                        he eee good ..!
Rather small sampling but denis da menace
defo looked a more wholesome & int. Caliber attacker than the likes of ziroeslam or allhyaar ..!
that other russian youngster Saharkhizan looks promising too from the highlight reels @ least ..!?

good call up by GN ..! If indeed true .!? Although
I think it may have been mostly an attempt at fan appeasing to save his job Going further on the bubble, due to recent extreme criticism of him in domestic & foreign TM media ..!
hopefully with him in the mix that’ll be the end of that useless goozoo moghanlou..!? 🤞

Eckert is a great addition - lets not forget he’s scored against high level Europa league opposition last season whilst the rest of our star players sit it out in the UAE pro league playing against part time emryati tradesmen- I don’t see how there’s a comparison.

For those who say “We have better” well we have players who are flopping in the asian champions league and a few doing well in the ACL elite 2 against mid table Tajik clubs and some that are doing ok in a significantly weaker Russian League and that’s about it. I still see someone with europa league experience and experience playing for top Belgian and Spanish clubs as superior - European based players bring an aura of professionalism and inspiration to the young players with what they can achieve if they put that Emryati shawarma down.

And look at Indonesia as a prime example - they called an MLS goalie playing for the bottom team- fc Dallas who had one Indonesian grandparent ( same situation as Eckert) he produced a spectacular display against Saudi Arabia and saved a penalty and got them a point away- then their mid table erdevise players did enough so they beat them away - these two results a 1-0 win and a 1-1 draw in riyadh would’ve been unthinkable 10 years ago. These Indo Dutch players aren’t world beaters but they cause big trouble to all teams in Asia- they dominated Vietnam in the asian cup and scored on Japan too , they also nearly got Indonesia to the olympics (one game away) Where they knocked out South Korea too. We aren’t talking world class players here - we are talking bottom tier MLS players that are bringing the heat to top teams like Saudi Arabia and just the addition of 4-5 mid erdvise players nearly got them to the olympics .

European heck even north american players just do it better. Reza Gucci flopped in Belgium but he still scored crucial goals for us and scored against a stacked solid Korean side in Seoul . Without him we wouldn’t have made the 2014 world cup .

Heck in the Beitashour interview he said the team was adopting some of the equipment he was using and the training methods he was using after recruiting him - he said that the Iranian culture was ill disciplined with poor diet - CQ wanted players from abroad to bring about more professionalism in a team and Beitashour only didn’t get more playing time because the IFF couldn’t be bothered to pay him to fly from North America for qualifier games. He went onto win the MLS with Tornoto too.

Is Eckert going to deliver us a hatrick against Brazil at the world cup ? No - but can he cause damage to asian defences like UAE, Saudi Arabia ,Qatar- you bet. Asian defences are weak and can crumble against half decent European opposition as the Asian cup proved. If we are behind against a Qatar or Saudi with 10 minutes to go he’s the best option we got to throw on - against Qatar and Hong Kong in the Asian cup we lacked that pace and clinical finishing that he could have provided us.

Im all for it. More European the better - I guess he will be the least Iranian Iranian to ever play for TM with just 25 percent heritage unless im mistaken.
