Firstly thank you so much for the kind words. We always try our best, it's not easy but the landscape of media in Iran especially for football isn't good, so there needed to be something.

With regards to contact, yes we are in contact with people in TM and federation but we firmly believe it's there job to call up these players, the more they are spoon fed, the less they think they have to work. We interviewed Kahveh, it got transcribed by Varzesh 3, he wasn't called up or even approached. He's now injured until January so let's see how he does when he's back.

Farshad Faraji ( Persepolis )he started the season abench player, now he the most consistent and best defender they have

Mohammad Khodabandehlo( Persepolis) - he is getting better with every game plus he has pace something we need

Mohammad hosseni Moradmand (Esthegal) - he is solid doesn’t make mistakes, he much better than khalizadeh

Mohammadhossein esmali- he has pace , he is technical , he can shot, he is young , he could have had a hat trick today ..

None of these players have europa league goals
Hossienajad has scored 1 goal in the Russian league - hes still very raw a

hosseinazadeh gave up on europe for a nice pay check and the chance to school mid table tajik teams- you cant compare a goal against Al Wahkrah to a goal against Eintracht Frankfurt can you?

Yes! It goes both ways we had guys like Davari, Beitashour, Nazari, etc who didn’t deliver! Just for sake of playing in Europe doesn’t make them great candidates!
Also there are other factors such as language l, team chemistry, integration which play into the equation for these kids!

Beitashour wasn't given time - he said himself in the interview that TM were chasing him at 2012 but took until 2014 to finally finish the paperwork after he got called up by the US and fortunately for us then got injured. TM then didnt call him up because the travel was way too long to get to iran from the states for minor asian cup qualifier matches. All in all he was in a tough spot due to being located so far from the team relative to the other players the federation didnt want to pay to have him travel for fixtures. I think he wouldve been an upgrade on what he had and he added a dose of professionalism

It seems late though- you see with indonesia they are tracking down dutch players with a single Indonesian grandparent from the ages of 20 and incorporating them into the squad young so the players gel- in our case with Beitashour and now Eckert it seems a desperate last ditch attempt to appease the fans - he shouldve been called up last year to have time to integrate.

the time for new players was the asian cup game against hong kong yet we started Cheshmi and played Ansarafad instead of Eckert , Hossenijad etc. What a complete waste

also having a dispora player like eckert with little ties to iran maybe a good thing in high pressure games like the qatar game- maybe feeling less pressure and attachment to the country can bring more focus to the game relative to other team melli players who seem to let nerves get the better of them in high pressure occasions.I fully believe he couldve done something against Qatar in January.

Gol Bezan done more job scouting than the IFF have this last 4 years - Im convinced if CQ was manager both Kaveh and Dennis would at least have gotten minutes.

TLDR for those that don't have much time:

- He has been contacted by national team several times
- He aunt is Anahita Dargahi (the famous actor)
- His aunt is working with the NT to get him his passport but its difficult because they require documents from his grandfathers side (he is deceased)
- As of this moment he HAS NOT BEEN CALLED UP, but if the passport situation can be fixed and they do call him up, he would love to play for TM (in his words: it would be an honor)
- His Iranian food is tadig (lol)

Regarding the Iran call-up rumours for Eckert.
No, he hasn't been called up. The last contact was a few months ago when he was still an Union player with assistant coach Saeid Alhoei. They were contacting him regarding his eligibility. He isn't eligible for Iran. Nor he or his dad have an Iranian passport. It's a very difficult process as his grandfather has passed away to prove his Iranian-ness to FIFA.

Yes he'd love to play for Iran but he hasn't heard from them since.
