"This has been Queiroz’s biggest contribution: to bring big stars to the national team. When Amir Ghalenoei was the coach, he did invite Ashkan Dejagah to join the national team, but Dejagah rejected the offer. The rejection became a grudge for Ghalenoei who in 2012 publicly complained onRadio Javan about Dejagah's refusal to join when he was manager. But there had been differences in the two invitations. Queiroz talked directly with Ashkan Dejagah and Reza Ghoochannejhad. He did the same thing for the attacking midfielder Aria Jasuru Hasegawa, going to Japan to negotiate with him and his family and persuade him join the national team. Hasegawa was born to an Iranian father and a Japanese mother; his mother was against her son accepting Iranian citizenship.

actually after scanning this forum i found an old article - i am mistaken it seems the Hasegawa was close to joining TM but it was his mother didn't want her son accepting Iranian citizenship for whatever reason- maybe what his dad said on navad was just an excuse .

I'm convinced that Orenburg was created as a project to destroy the future of Iranian football.

why else would a team that would struggle in the PGPL want to sign so many young promising Iranians?

Iranian footballers probably require Lower wages than Russians

plus the transfer fees would be cheaper than most European based players not to mention a lot of players still won't move to Russia for political reasons

They should make a decent profit on the two they signed so far

I mean, they will be playing the 2nd tier of Russia next season... so let's see how that profit thing works out for them.

Exactly. They shouldn't be going to a club that's on the path for relegation.

Would be great to go there.
Even though I am against persians playing over sea but having a cb which is tm weakness last 40 years playing overseas will help tm overall.
If hossini was not so injury prone he would of been everyday starter in tm.

1 position I like to see iranian players play in europe is cb position , the rest they are better stay in our own league.

That would be worst thing for our football. Keep our talents away from this dead Persian League. Stay in Europe!

He’s playing in a team that is pretty much guaranteed to relegate. Division 2 in Russia is not going to do shit for him or our football.

He will have offers from other Russian teams and clubs, would be insane if he didn't. Fire those agents if he can't transfer to a decent team after his crazy good half season.

Coming back to PGPL is a death sentence. Who is the last youth Persepolis sent to Europe? It's a retirement club at this point
