About football, we are allergic to change and keep keeping the same old washed and sometimes overrated recipes. It is the case with young players, coaches, transfers.. Having our best players rushing to spend their prime in middle east (uae qatar even ipl) is problem we have for more than 20 years..
Sometimes we change but it is at a snail pace or small steps.
About sports and Olympics, we keep focusing on the same sports and make no place for new sports to emerge. The exception were volleyball and taekwondo and we saw the results.

Btw special message to fans who say ‘nushe junesh’ about players signing contracts in qatar or uae. i hope shametun aajor beshe to shekametun. For 25 years I am seeing comments of “nushe junesh” to players wasting their lives and ruining our football in these donkey leagues. Khak to sare hamatun.

BTW one reason for this move is also because their national team has been starting Khusanov every single game, and he was also starting every Asian Cup game. Same thing for Suzuki from Japan, started every game then got a big move from Jupiler to Serie A.
I imagine there would be a lot more eyes on players like Hosseinejad, etc if they played more often for us at the national team level instead of being locked away behind PGPL cameras from 1980s. Same thing for World Cup, youth players who are talented who start there often get a big move after. 90 percent of teams don't even know some of our players exist

Last time I posted it, Man city and Real weren’t after their player. Let’s see what happens next, maybe at world cup yeah? I’m not carried away just looking at reality. Their youth program is already something we would dream of. Taremi and azmoun can’t even match shomurodov in big boy league. And now 40 million euro deal to Man city. We can only say our players smoke more hooka and have more rewards points at UAE mcdonalds.

In general, I don't believe having one or even two superstars can take you far in international football in Asia.
The main reason being is the team's general performance regresses to the mean.
It's why even an Iran that had guys like Azizi, Daei, Bagheri, Mahdavikia, and Karimi would struggle versus Bahrain.
It's why South Korea still isn't consistently great.
It's why Egypt can barely qualify for a World Cup.
To me as long as Asian club football continues to be at a low level (I don't mean the occasional superstar who gets signed)... then Asian football will stay at a poor level.
The only league that has been constantly focusing on youth for 30+ years in Asia is Japan, and they are consistently getting fruit from it.
Uzbekistan is trying, but they need to elevate their league as well to have guys like Khusanov be surrounded by other classy players.

They've been dominating us at U17-U23 since 2019 with their resources they're giving their youth.
Not to say Iran won't stay competitive because no matter how good these countries get we still have the physicality, natural talent, and technique to beat them any day with some heart and motivation (as seen vs Japan earlier last year). Though it won't really transfer to winning any actual tournaments or progressing in the WC because to do that you need depth, proper coaching, proper staff (all of which come from - investments). So our football will just stay stagnant or decline slowly again until we get another golden generation/CQ who is willing to literally travel through the country to find players like ARJ for our U17 from a random club like Damash Gilan
