Any Iranian players suitable for San Diego FC?

There is a new MLS team starting here in 2025. The club is currently recruiting players and I was curious if an Iranian national team member would be a good addition. If you have somebody in mind, please name them here... It would have to be someone of high quality, but not very expensive.

Doubtful for a new MLS side to bring in an Iranian at this stage of the club’s development unless they’re an Iranian-American similar to Beitashour

Always thought Karim Ansarifard would be a good fit for MLS. I think he might have some dual citizenship via his wife now? He also speaks English pretty well too.

Another candidate could be Jahanbakhsh in a few years - he speaks pretty fluent English, might have Dutch citizenship by now. Still early though as he's doing well in the Dutch league and probably prefers to be in Europe for the time being.

I can't see an Iranian youth who is not currently in Europe/MLS already being a good candidate for this (Besides Allahyar in Westerlo, who was linked to MLS last year I believe?). Unless the club is chad like that to sponsor them and deal with immigration headaches lol .

Though all of our young players on the rise do speak English, even players like Saharkhizan and Hosseinejad

What about Steven Beitashpour? He has been playing in MLS for the past 15 years.

I believe Allahyar was offered to Colorado rapids but rapids turned the transfer down

he started following Steven beitashour on instagram during that time period - methinks the two held some discussions about the rapids potential transfer

MLS has come a long way from the early days of the 2000's when Azizi was playing. if they make MLS a relegation league, then it will be more competitive, and more players will come over to play.

Estiven was a great addition to TM back then. I saw an interview many years aso.. he said that he took his teammates to Persian restaurants. Thst is IF i remember it correctly.. 😁

I believe that it was with Adel or on the Gol Bezan podcast.
