Tournament dates:

The qualifying round is scheduled for March.

Main Event: 24 April to 6 May

Teams:

One team each from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and Iran will qualify for the group round. The remaining two spots will be contested by four teams from Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan in the preliminary round.

Two football clubs to represent Kyrgyzstan at CAFA Silk Way Cup 2025


Bishkek, Jan.20, 2025. /Kabar /. Domestic Dordor and Muras nited Football Clubs will participate in the CAFA Silk Way Cup 2025 international club tournament, the Kyrgyz Football Union reported. The tournament will bring together clubs from Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) member countries, including Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, it said. The group and playoff stages of the CAFA club tournament will be held from April 24 to May 6, with venues to be announced soon. This is the first time this tournament is held among Central Asian football clubs, giving them an opportunity to prove themselves at the international level. In the first season, eight clubs are planned to participate in the group stage. Only those clubs that have placed high in the national championships or won the cups of their countries at the end of the last season will be able to participate in the tournament. “The full composition of the tournament participants will be announced by CAFA in the near future,” the report said.
