It means that at first these "fans" are bandwagoning other teams. When they see Haghighi walk by, all of a sudden they start supporting Iran . The reason could be up for interpretation but its likely because Haghighi had a good game and a lot of people are talking about him (some even talk about him because he is good looking). So, these bandwagon Iranians are all of a sudden proud of TM because of Haghighi.
