From what I see, this stadium still has lots and lots to do. It's funny that an oil rich country building and exporting most sophisticated missiles, arms and drugs cannot finish a stadium. Anything for the improvement of the nation and its citizens IRI fails.

I actually thing those are very good, in the U.S people hit curbs all the time, at least in iran you can CLEARLY see them.

The stadium's design was modern, but that was when they started 20 years ago. Time to cut your losses and tear it down. Start from scratch.

Since it will be the only multifunctional stadium is Esfahan, it would be useful for atheletics as well.

but yellow? and dont compare anything with america, drivers can be goofs annywhere, ive never seen it happen in toronto , or europe
these are used as "beautifying" in iran but they just make it ugly, they can put small poles like these of that matter
this is istanbul, and in central tehran u can see them

there already are enough stadiums in esfahan with tracks

and they never use it, ahvaz hosted khuzestans track and field event last week but they used takhti instead of the new stadium they built with another "track", its just a waste

Secondly, for those who want to notice the difference between the new set of pictures and the old set, look at the pitch and the surrounding area. In the new set of pictures, they've 'cleaned' the area, flattened the ground, and set the outline for the pitch/track.

look at the metal, its all squigly lol, and those foundations for the roof (place of contact where the roof will sit on ) look very insufficient and weak to hold that much weight

with all the track and field stadiums in Iran you would think we could have just one good runner or disc thrower per any one of the Olympic events.

We do, his name is Ehsan Haddadi and he got a Bronze in the 2011 World Athletics last year. He should hopefully do the same or even better at the Olympics

New update from someone on the Sepahan fan site:

                            http://img4up.com/up2/86381021961789417978.jpg
                            http://img4up.com/up2/48641269262353033151.jpg

                            http://img4up.com/up2/38690432752162081418.jpg

They say in Iran when you have a job it will be for as long as you live. That is why Naghshe Jahan stadium will take for ever to built and people who work there will always have a job.
