^^ its "supposed" to be ready for next season, of they work hard they can finish by the end of autumn but in reality i would say 2013 as well

it shouldn't be an excuse but i blame the sanctions...


from our neighboring countries, turkey has like the best looking stadiums and overall for a muslim country has really progressed a lot.(kind of jealous, guess that's why i dislike them a bit :P )
only if the fcking americans and the fat british would have just left us alone and let the man do what he had visioned for our country just like Ataturk at the same time.

prior to the revolution in iran turkey suffered ALOT economically, but the revolution made them become a super power, they have improved sooo much in the past 20 years, culturally, physically , economically etc , man tof be rouye in system its kept us from being such a great country we could have been

You all do realize that this stadium was initially started and intiated during the Shah's years. It has been 33 years in the makings....but, who is counting...this is IRan.

It's probably taking so long because it's in Isfahan ..! U know how tight these Fkers are with their money ..! they probably take 500 bids for every small project & take 6 months to jew down the contractors & approve each bid finally ..! lol

سخنگوی وزارت ورزش:ورزشگاه نقش جهان اصفهان 22 بهمن افتتاح می شود

اصفهان - سخنگوی وزارت ورزش و امورجوانان، از افتتاح ورزشگاه نیمه تمام 'نقش جهان' اصفهان در 22 بهمن ماه سالجاری خبر داد.


'محمدحسین انصاری فرد' روز پنجشنبه در گفت و گو با ایرنا اظهار داشت: طرح ورزشگاه نقش جهان اصفهان جزو طرحهای مهر ماندگار دولت قرار گرفته است.

وی افزود:اعتبار این طرح از سوی دولت تامین شده و قرار است تا 22 بهمن ماه سالجاری به بهره برداری برسد.

مدیركل روابط عمومی وسخنگوی وزارت ورزش و امور جوانان با اشاره به طولانی شدن عملیات تكمیل این طرح تصریح كرد: عملیات ساخت این پروژه كه از دولت های قبل آغاز شده، هنوز به بهره برداری نرسیده ودولت دهم مصمم به تكمیل و بهره برداری از این پروژه ورزشی است.

ساخت ورزشگاه نقش* جهان از سال 74 با عملیات خاكبرداری ورزشگاه آغاز شد.

عملیات اجرایی استادیوم فوتبال این ورزشگاه از روز 29* مرداد ماه *1375 و با حضور رییس* جمهور وقت آغاز شد و قرار است كه بزودی شاهد افتتاح این مجموعه باشیم.

None of these are football stadiums!! These are olympic stadiums. Who cares for running tracks around a soccer field???

Instead of building such elaborate stadiums, they can build much simpler venues just for football.
