that means, nearly 2000 years ago the Roman built the greatest structure on its time in 10 years, then made modifications to it in a period of 15 years. It held 50-80,000 people and still standing!!
I think that is very sad fact to know!
    Funny and sad..

that is what i mean, maybe the use of the word world class wasn't appropriate. I was just trying to make the point that it is important how our stadiums look and what oppurtunities they can provide.

What's the status on this? How can a renovation take 5 years? I read somewhere it's supposed to be finished in mid February 2015, is it true?

With oil prices being so low, don't expect this project to be over until at least 2030.

              What's the latest update?

Azadi Stadium took 3 years to finish, compare that to these new arenas

i think it's rather the high theft prices than the low oil prices.

I understand Nagshe Jahan stadium is perhaps used as an ancient Roman wreckage for tourist purpose by now! Now that's what I call a flexible marketing strategy

Not only there hasn't been any progress, but two of the shades drooped down causing a lot of damage to parts of the stadiums. But who cares in IR, someone with a high school education is probably managing the project with his neighbor Akhund.

Is there any chance of Azadi Stadium being upgraded? Azadi needs renovation badly IMO.
