Back in 2006, someone started talking about Ali Manuchehri and how he had lined up a move to Levante, who was in La Liga back then too. Although he never played for Levante A team, he has 4 appearances for their B team.
Not very encouraging stats!sigpic

He's 26 now. Centerbacks can play til their mid 30s. It would have definitely been better to have capped him earlier, no doubt. But it can't hurt to give him a try, right?

i think we should cap as many european based players as possible, regardless of what league they play in. u never know how much better theyll get throughout the years, and international recognition is a start. plus, having european based players around the iranians is good for the morale and development of the team. im not saying play them in every match, im just saying cap em.

Ali would love to receive invitation from Carlos Queiroz to prove himself to the team and would play for Iran if given the opportunity.

You forgot my 19 year cousin he plays over the weekend with his friends in frankfurt , his best ability as a player is that he lives in europe and his mother is not even iranian, that should get him straight in, also he fails to locate iran in the map and doesnt speak a word of farsi although he loves cholo kabab , these are just all plus points , i bet he can beat willy atashkadeh in a shot yezarb game
