^ Don't let it bother you. They are Iranian, they know they are Iranian, we (most of us at least..) consider them to be Iranian, and it already says a lot about a player when he decides to represent his nation and proudly wear those colors at the World Cup.
Some commentators are really stupid. And I mean retarded. Sometimes it's their fault and sometimes it isn't. But don't take it personally because it has also been 8 years since we appeared on the world stage. There's bound to be a couple of mojri idiots who cannot prounounce a player's name. For example in 2006 against Angola, when the ESPN commentator said, "Bakhtiar-razeedee". How the F&%$ can you mispronounce "ZADEH" lol. Anyways, the Cup this summer will be loads of fun!

Possible Team Melli Call Ups Playing Abroad
I was always skeptic towards some players abroad, like nazari and so far beitashur & davari ,
but Aria will be like zandi , dejagah and gucci , he will be a very beneficial player , i ve seen him score from 30 yards few times like a world class player, we need this kid
Big loss for iran if this Kid doesn't get invited,
Why havent CQ called him up yet? He is 10 times better than nazari and beitashur
Someone email navad about Aria, maybe the media can remind CQ of him

how come his last name is Japanese? his father is iranian and his mother is Japanese shouldn't it be Aria Hasegawa jasoor instead of Aria jasoor Hasegawa? btw dont some people get tired of these "he is not iranian" b.s talks? some are even talking about naturalized players...this guy's father is iranian he is iranian by blood. give him a chance he can be a great addition. to me he has got the quality to even start for tm. cq biggest contribution has been opening the doors of tm to all iranians i just hope the other ipl players dont get oghdeyi and have it in for these "2 ragehs" which is probably the stupidest term always used to describe these players. hoping for open and fair competition, the best should play!

if its been a while and he doesn't stand a chance of making the Japan WC team, then this will be a good time for CQ to approach him for TM..! I believe he had not shown keen interested in the past, hoping to attain a spot in Japan's national team..!!

Japanese are very thorough in their immigration and naturalization procedures.
I've heard that they will send inspectors to a citizenship applicant's house a year later to inspect their fridge to make sure they have adequately assimilated and have become Japanese-enough, based on their food items! (please confirm if you have info about this)
So if they require you to use a Japanese last name it won't surprise me.
On the other hand, if you are a foreigner with a weird-sounding name (for the host country) you'd be compelled to change or adjust your name to save your child a great deal of grievance! You would do it if you care about your children!
Mohammad Ja'far to MJ or Jeff is real example I've heard in the US.
Japanese have a very limited range of pronunciation & very homogenous society, so the issue is even more severe than other countries with mixed heritage through immigration.
