Possible Team Melli Call Ups Playing Abroad
Originally posted by PersianLegion View Postwe have Armin98 too, do you know in which position he play? Armin98 for team melli!
TBH I don't think a top Scottish league player would do bad in TM, I know a lot of people prefer domestic players and are critical of these "half-Iranians", but let's be real here..he should be given a try-out at least. I doubt the Scottish league is worse than IPL.
Perhaps some Scotland based members can give us insight?

The Scottish Premiership is a pretty poor league. I'm sure everyone knows about Rangers and Celtic who have dominated the league for the last 30 years though, since Rangers demotion to the bottom of the league a few season back, the quality of the competition has diminished greatly.
Aberdeen and Dundee Utd seem to have taken the mantle from Hibernian and Hearts (both relegated last year) as the league runners up but, along with the rest of the teams in the SPL, they would struggle to compete even in the English Championship, let alone the Premier League. These clubs tend to recruit players from the English 4th division (where Tafazolli is currently playing) or even lower!
Tafazolli has good pedigree coming from the Saints youth set up where the likes of Gareth Bale, Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw began their careers. He definitely has the potential to get back up the leagues and he's still young. Realistically, I would say he would have to be playing at the English Championship level to be considered for TM but with a lack of good CB options CQ might want to consider inviting him to a training camp sooner rather than later, assuming he wanted to play for Iran.

Tabrizi actually seems like a good player. I think that if he gets to besiktas, he should def be called up to Iran's youth sides. I'm not going to lie, but tabrizi seems to have a very similar style to how I play lol. If I had put in all my effort into being a pro, I'm sure I could have reached that, but school is so much more vital. Dg vel kardam footballo, although I still play indoor twice a week.
