Honestly I am tired of people claiming Iran doesn't have talents. The "lack of talent“ is probably the worse argument when it comes to Iranian football.

I wish I could make more of these videos to prove that, but other videos on pfdctv take away too much time. Nevertheless here is a video in support of 19 years old Alireza Jahanbakhsh, who currently plays for Damash and has scored 8 goals this season. It’s important to spread the "names" of our raw talents, so they get noticed and may be able to get out of Iran as well.

Jahanbakhsh is one of my personal favorites, as he is always a huge threat with his great shooting ability, skills and hardworking attitude. That's why he is already one of the best, if not the best, player of Damash. Even TM defenders like Montazeri, Hosseini or Mahini did have problems to control him. It's also noteworthy to say that he unfortunately has to play on a poor pitch in Rasht, but still constantly plays well.

Jahanbakhsh is a great plalyer. His football IQ is very high and he is extremely effective on the field. In my opinion CQ should have already incorporated Jahanbakhsh and Payam Sadeghian into the main 23 man TM roster... and slowly start bringing in Mohsen Mosalman, Milad Gharibi, Behnam Barzay and Sardar Azmoun.

errrr.... I'm assuming you'll add other names to this thread. rather than making a new one for each player (we have plenty of such talents, so it'd make for a lot of conflicting threads)


lets add another column or section for each player's attributes.
as for jahanbakhsh, I'd say his pace, his ball skills and close control, shooting, wide plays, ...

i havent seen him much in IPL action but he really impressed me vs turkey under 23..!! loved his intelligent movement down left wing with or without the ball, but his last touch left much to be desired..!! thanks for vid

My pleasure, as we really need to focus more on our talents and let everybody know. Who knows who is watching these videos and reading our posts...

DD jaan, indeed we have a lot of prospects and therefore can’t open too many threads. However as I said, there is not much time to collect the highlights and create a new video, which means that at best every 2-3 months I will open a new thread. That should be ok IMO.

Meanwhile I suggest to use this thread or make a new one for every season in order to regular post updates.

Some points from his interview/Why I think Jahanbakhsh will be a successful football player in the future:


- He wants to improve and better himself as a player.

- He will be playing in Europe next season (don't know what team).

- He reads a lot of books (Psychology/Ravanshenasi).

- He stays away from hashieh/drama

- He learned a lot while playing alongside Mahdavikia at Damash (Which is a big BIG positive influence/As we all know Mahdavikia should be an example, an "olgoo" for all of our players).

- Mehdi Mahdavikia is his idol, and wants to do what he did and even more if he can.
