So obviously taking shots was all part of the plan. Sukaj did the same at the end and it worked.
Surely Sharifi's goal was more "risky" and difficult - but he is young, just started to play in IPL and this was only his 2nd appearance in ACL. A talent like that deserves to be given some "freedom" and so far Sharifi has shown he can make the right decisions on the field. It all depends on the player's ability. If he can shot, then the coach will give him permission to do that on his own - even if a teammate might be in a better position sometimes. Especially for a forward it's important to have that confidence - there is a limit of course.
I think you can find a lot of goals scored by world class players where a pass might have been better. On paper (or TV) it's always easy to over-analyse the scene, but once you are on the field things change a lot.
