TM U22-Football at the 2016 Summer Olympics

Why is that ?

TM is playing friendlies while TM 22 playing qualification for Olympic an event that Iran has failed for decades.
It's not just Nepal & Afghans but Saudi Arabia a team with higher rank in this category.
When TM U22 Khakpour think he need them , no good reason to join TM for friendlies.

For the point 2., I mistook asian games with the AFC U19 championship where we played and failed against weak teams too

How do we know they would even be released for the main tournament if Iran makes it? The actual tournament is in January so there is no obligation for the clubs to release azmoun and jb.

This is completely drenched in irony since it was an Iranian coach (GN) who had the IPL postponed for FIVE WEEKS in a World Cup year so that Esteghlal could focus on the Asian Champions League.

TM Omid has left for the 4-day Kuwait camp this morning, without Saleh and 7 of its players, but the following 24 players have arrived in Kuwait:

Saleh will be joining the team later because of his father's health issues and the 7 players have either not been released by their clubs or had visa issues. According to the latest updates:

* Derakhshan has agreed to let Nourollahi join TM.

* Saghebi (delayed because of exit issues) will be flying to Kuwait later tonight.

* Vakia's issues have been resolved as well and he will be joining the team shortly.
