Even worse than his performance against Saudi Arabia was his soosooli celebration after his goal against Afghanistan! Once you go soosool, you're not going to be a defensive ghool!
At any rate, the team was pretty disorganized under Khakpour IMHO. We did manage to get through but it was only by brute force and absolutely superior talent pool.
I totally agree with St. Mark that we will have a VERY hard time in the next round and are unlikely to make it past the quarterfinals at best if we play the same way. There's no way we can beat teams that play disciplined patient football like Korea, Australia, Japan or even the Saudis with this bunch.
I hope the IFF come to their senses and not set Khakpour up for failure in his 1st major coaching assignment. That's why you need proven coaches and proven performance with TM - Khakpour is obviously missing the former and Vingada was missing the latter.
