Motaheri seems a good forward but he is also extremely wasteful with chances.
In other words he does a good job of putting himself in scoring positions but he seem to squanders well more than half of golden chances presented to him, which is extremely frustrating ..!
I wish Sardar was there badly. ..!

I think Torabi is gonna be the clutch performer from this bunch going to the tourney. ..!

I really hope we'll qualify for the finals this time. Many of our youngsters will get noticed by scouts in Europe.

To make a little bit of prediction..

These boys have the motivation and skills to get out of the group stage, but it all comes down to the big decisive quarter final.

And that is going to be against either Japan or Saudi Arabia.

I'm not sure which one worries me more.

But if we come out victorious in that match, the olympics is very much guaranteed.

          One more week.

Spot on. Quarter finals have always been our weakest point and where we usually screw up. Group stage is not even half as important compared to that. If we make it to semis we just need to win one of the 2 games to qualify.

If we make it to the Olympics this time we even have shot at getting a medal considering our 3 musketeers will join too. We can transfer 10 young players to Europe next summer.

Iran U23 yet to play an strong opponent . They played a ragtag team in Turkey, Played nobody durin Bandarabbas Training and so far failed to find a team to play in UAE.
U23 has not play a real match for a while. They had a chance to play China but Khakpour rejected that offer.

Without Azmoon, JB, Ezatollahi, Ahmad Abdolahzadeh, Norollahi team is not as strong while Cheshmi is just practicing alone.

I hope Khakpour is ready for challenge of lifetime.

Judging by the names of the players, surprisingly they have no South American players.
