Well at least Iran's volleyball team won the first set against Serbia.

^we were the better team slightly but North Korea's winger on the left side earned a very clear penalty kick that wasn't called. He also probably should have gotten a second one as well.
For some reason I didnt have much hope of winning pk's....

I watched the game live on my TV. Iran missed the 3rd and 4th PK. Over the bar.
NK def prepared for penalties. They took perfect pks. You could tell they wanted to go to PKs from 80min where they started to make fights to waste time.

I'm glad the feed cut for some of you guys. Most of the kids were crying in rain and there wasn't enough Iranian personnel to help them when the game stopped broadcasted. Truly a heartbreaker for them. They really wanted the win to make it to WC. Hope they can put their heads up and look up to the future.

The nonstop rain played a big part in the game. It suited the Koreans fast and direct style of play which at the same time disrupted Iran's passing game we saw against the previous teams. Iran had few chances to put the game away as well. I'm proud of them. Omid varam they will be successful in their future careers.

I'm very sad that we lost - also that couldn't get the streams going for some reason to cheer the boys on. I don't know why I can't play certain flash streams, live and recorded.

Its not a huge deal but it just shows that even at youth levels we have trouble making consistent world tournaments. If it wasnt for the u17 wc ezzatolahi probably wouldnt be playing for athletico madrid b. u20 os definitely more important and only a month away if azmoun is released we should have no trouble making it

I had a feelin N.Korea was going to be our "gorbeh siah" and knock us out. I guess qualifying in for U19 and the olympics might be more valuable + we do have a good U17 team and they only lost in penalties.

I don't know, we did two superb u17 wc last time and we had only one player that was bought by europe.

Typical Iranian football mentality of choking in games when everything is at stake! As usual it was apparent that the coach DID NOT prepare the team for penalties and thats why our boys missed so many! I just cant understand why our native coaches NEVER learn from past follies!!

Before i die i wish to witness a PK shoot out with Iran winning it.

I think it has a lot to do with confidence, our players psychological deficciency has often been a cuase for their failure!

iran is definetly the England of AFC. Always has big expectations, always thinks its gonna be there year and then bows out in penalties.. And in asian tournaments south korea is always our argentine.

Its all psychological and our boys just not prepared for it independent of age. it is the coach job to relax and prepare the team for penalties. But we all know vatani coaches themselves need intense therapy before they can help our boys.
