Our players played with gheyrat. They played tactically well, they put on one of the most solid defensive displays I have ever seen, Di Maria, Higuan, Aguero, Messi were all hitting brick walls. What an amazing performance. Other htan Messi's goal, we had the 3 greatest oppurtunties of the match to score, all players showed up for a win today, played calmly, and definately showed people Iran is no pushover. I am still heart broken, our chances lessened but we are in it. Great performance by our team.
Some of our players will most likely be noticed and get offers after these perfomances and will help us in the future. CQ has really done something special with this team if only the federation worked more with him and we were more able to prepare even more, we would be even better. I am so proud of all our players, pa be pa ba Argentina for 92 minutes, dameshoon garm!

Ruud Van Nistelrooy just said some great things about Iran on ESPN

The yellow cards by referee were psychological war on the team. He did not allow at lease one penalty and ignored calling foul committed by Argies a few times and he had no intent to let TM win.
        So. CQ is totally right.

I was still wearing my Iranian flag and jester hat till we got back to the hotel and everyone and I mean EVERYONE who came up to me since the game said RESPECT in one wray or another. That was an undeserved heart breaking loss compliments of bad refing and the best player in the world. We deserved to win this game and we akl know it - as does everyone I talked to, including Hasan Roshan who was wearing an Argentina jersey to the game for some reason
Wow. I know these guys hate CQ, but that just seems downright petty.

Although my heart is broken, I'm very proud of my team.

Iran did earn A LOT of respect after this performance against Argentina.

Bosnia is out, it's between us and Nigeria.

We still have a chance to advance. It can happen. But Argentina has to beat Nigeria, and we will have to beat Bosnia.

Then it's up to the GD to decide whether we play France or not.

Two lessons taught by this match.

                            1. The whole would should nto be afraid of big names or big teams

                            2. FIFA should get its act together and not to use anyone off the street to be referee for a sensitive game. Definitely not anyone with biases and prejudices....

Yeah keep in mind guys that Argentinians play with a huge amount of their own national gheyrat. They aren't the sort of side that will play out a draw they will play to win and win heavily for their fans if nothing else.

This isn't a Saudi Arabia / North Korea (WCQ 2010) situation
