I just watched Messi's goal in slow motion time and time again. The ball clearly hits Gucci's foot and deflects slightly upwards. Had Gucci not put his foot in front, based on Haghighi's jump he would have saved it!

I watched the game for the third time and noticed two more critical moments. 44th minute and 78:50 minute. The referee saw the Argies fouling and knocking Reza down and he ignored the fouls completely and Argies went for counter attack. Reza was in great situation with great passes coming to him. The referee and his friends were really the worst I have ever seen and worse than the one who made Croatia lose.
He looked like a man sent out of mental hospital with a whisle.
During the final minutes to be defensive it would have been better idea but we would have needed someone like Aghili or another Neku or Ando. The tired Gucci was not the match to stop Messi and besides that is not he is the best at. Aghili needs to get 100 lashes for dodging the Persian Army.
