I am SOOO PROUD of our boys.

I was shaking when the match started fearing an embarrassing loss and as impressive as our guys played, I was actually sitting and hoping for a win in the second half. That say it all.

Everybody is praising Iran now and as CQ had mentioned, now every one knows Iran deserved to be in the WC.

I feel that we still could have got a draw in this match if our guys had played more professionally in the end. In the seconds before they scored, Nekounam got the ball in our half and to his left side, it was wide open but unfortunately no player started a run down the left flank. This was the way to waste the last seconds and ensure a point and a historic draw. Someone like R. Haghighi that just had come in instead of Haji Safi should have run down the flank for Nekounam to have someone to pass the ball to. If you look at our defense in the moment Messi scored, we simply were standing far far too back and it was Gucci, our lone forward that was defending against at the edge of our penalty box. We had pulled far too much back. I think we could have prevented that goal if our boys had played more clever and someone like Haghighi that just had come in with fresh legs had been more active, we might have had a point now.
But that being said, Iran turned a lot of heads today with their game and made me so so proud.

We are still in it and I would rather have us lose this match and advance in the end with a good win against Bosnia than drawing Argentina today and get eliminated in the end.

And one more thing. IFF and Sports ministry should do all what they can to keep CQ and keep him happy cause with him at the helm of TM, we have a very realistic shot at the asian trophy in AC2015 in Australia.

I am still in denial... Did Messy really score?
And like many of you I think Dejagah should've stayed. He was obviously very tired but was used to the pace of the game. I doubt if R Haghighi ever touched the ball.
And where were Ando and Nekounam when messy scored? Why was it Gucci who was following him? We got over-confident in the last 10 minutes and it cost us dearly.

I think it was Haghighi that give the ball to Argentinians (and for no reason) that led to messi's goal.

Who would have thought that a team like Argentina resort to killing time in the dying minutes against us by substitutions and the going out player walks out very slowly, adjusting his sucks and shoes, and the biased referee did not even push him to run and leave faster!

Now the pressure is even more on Argentina to provide a better performance in their last group match against Nigeria to earn some respect and that would be good for us,

Costa Rica is not comparable to Iran. They have fixed players at Mainz, Kopenhagen, Levante, Rosenberg and are not under tough sanctions or isolated from the world. What an useless comparison, we are Iran and the entire world dislikes us unless Korea, Senegal etc.

The Iran of second half was the best Iran I have ever seen in my entire life. We were the better side creating better scoring chances in the second half. Clearly got robbed of a 100% penalty by the ref. All ESPN commentators and football experts have been replaying that scene calling it a definite penalty on Dejagah. That goals could have changed the fate of the match, but again mistakes and wrong calls can happen in football, so no hate against anyone necessary!

I am not trying rob it in anyone's face, but from last year I kept saying I have this strong feeling that we're gonna impress and pull some stunner, today although we lost on the 92' Messi strike, however our boys played amazingly and managed to pull the stunner!

Loved how CQ in a post-match interview said: in today's match 2 personalities changed the fate of the game, 1- Messi, 2- The Referee. Gotta love this passionate man. I truly hope we can extend his contract with TM at all costs, he is the best thing that has ever happened in our football!

What made me proud was how dejagah and gucci fought for iran as if their lives were dependent on this game so much love and gheyrat for iran , as well as all other players. , this team has one heart

Tragic. that haghighi sub was the only mistake. we owned them in the second half. I havent cried like this for so long. this could have so easily been Iran 1 Argentina 0.

WRONG! The subs were awesome like other game plans of Master Queiroz. he proved his system today. It was because of his great subs that gave Gucci the last chance on min 86 to almost score!

With all due respect I beg to differ. Unlike you I believe now that Argentina is through to the next round, they will rest most of their key players, Messi being definitely one of them to save them for the knockout stage. Their last match is a pretty meaningless game and most likely they will start their reserves.

Hopefully I am wrong, but I highly doubt it!

I tears and can't write, the fair result was a draw and it was stolen by the ref.

The only mistake CQ did was take hajsafi off he should have taken reza off instead and put in a defender, I am can't explain how proud I am the only disappointed is that we were unfairly not given a penalty and that CQ might not be with us any more.

Love the boys from all my heart, they showed the world that the best attacking line in the world today almost failed against one of the best defensive displays. God bless them and w
