Argentina come away from the Estadio Mineirao with three points, thanks to their captain and goalscorer Lionel Messi's last minute heroics. We played so good. Up until the 80th minute or so I was saying our chances have been more dangerous than theirs with their keeper having to pull off more saves. With him off his line I seriously thought Ashkan's header was going in. It sucks to lose this late in a game but the good performance is somewhat of a consolation prize. Well done boys.

I am so proud of our boys for playing so well. Iran deserved at least a draw in this game. I'm proud and heartbroken.
Iran lost because of Messi's magic and our captain's biggest flaw carelessly losing the ball. What's he doing dribbling in the middle. Javad does this so frequently and it has cost us so many times. Javad does so many other things for our team, but his giveaways can be lethal as they were today.
