I wasn't even heartbroken when the game ended. Messi pulled a wondergoal out of a hat, you can't do anything about that. Iran played extremely well.
        pls save us dejagah

^^^ I know, even the Argentinians were having a laughed at this list saying only Messi deserves to be there. Not to mentioned how they screwed up a crucial part in their article:

BTW is this really Christiano Ronaldo's twitter praising Iran:

Did anyone else notice when the camera went to a shot of one of the Iranian fans with a huge beard (most likely fake)? He looked like he was from the movie 'The Dictator'.....my friend was telling me there was a report about a bunch of Israelis trying to get in the stadium with costumes etc. to make the Iranians look bad, and they were prevented, for the most part at least, from entering. I vividly remember this moment because my dad got pretty mad about why an Iranian guy would dress up like that and even thought it was an Argentine fan trying to be silly. But I wouldn't put it past the Israelis to be honest with you. Anyway, does anyone have any information about this?
Yes I saw this guy, he had a saudi arabia jersey..

I really don't what some people here think. Do you think the Argentina's coach is gonna tell its squad "Hey guys don't try too hard, like try hard, but hard enough to get us a draw, not more than that. ok? ok". Sure, they'll be happy with draw but that would be their worst case scenario. They's wont sit on a tie like that, if Nigeria manages to get one through them, then they will be f**cked. Trust me, they don't wanna be f**cked.
Question the logic behind my argument!!!

Well praised by New York Times:

World Cup 2014: Argentina Defeats Iran, 1-0

                          By JONATHAN MAHLER

A tense, grinding match. Both sides stuck to their strategies -- with Argentina possessing and attacking, and Iran sitting back and defending -- but the arc of the game was still plenty surprising.
Who would have expected that Iran would manage to hold off their powerful opponents until the first minute of stoppage time? It took a brilliant bit of play from Lionel Messi to get Argentina their three points.
There is joy in Buenos Aires, maybe not so much in Tehran. But Iran was brilliant, really. A team of players from the Iranian league (plus Fulham's Dejagah) didn't just shut down such world-class stars as Aguero and Higuain, but they looked at moments like they might come away with three points. They didn't quite have the quality to finish, but they came very close to playing the spoiler.

And Argentina? Not impressive. They may be through to the knockout stage, but their days are numbered if their strategy is simply to wait for Messi to create a little magic in the final minutes. The ability is there, for sure, but they're going to need to play with more intensity, and do a much better job at adjusting to different defenses.

I must say I underestimated our team and thought we would lose by a 2 or 3 goal margin but they clearly proved me wrong and that just makes me so proud of them. In addition I thought Bosnia was such a strong team but after watching their game against Nigeria they were very poor we have a good chance of winning our last game against a demotivated Bosnia. The 90th minute was such a heartbreaker kheili delam sookht my mom immediately started crying but instead of looking at it as a loss I looked at it as an achievement so that's what helped me hold back the tears. Tomorrow I'm heading for Brazil and I'm going to cheer my team throughout the whole 90 mins regardless of what goes on in the other match. Sarboland bashan bachehaye TM baramoon kheili eftekhar ovordan and long live CQ!!

Great effort in the Argentina game. We came so close. Either way regardless of the Nigeria and Bosnia result, Iran still have a chance.

It is possible for Iran to snatch a win againts Bosnia, and for Argentina to beat Nigeria. Either way if Iran were to beat Bosnia and finish on 4 points, and not qualify for the next round is that not a victory in itself?
