          The refereeing was abysmal.

Not only should he lose massive points for touching/interrupting the ball on two occasions (but WILL he? This is FIFA after all), he also totally screwed up on the penalty incident. Logic says he should not get a game soon.

What really hurts is had the very same thing had happened to Messi or demaria or ..., I bet he'd have whistled so quickly and so hard he'd have got hernia on the spot.
Same thing with the corner flag. Had it been hajsafi who'd done that, the baboon would have handed the lad at least a yellow.

And let me not get started on all the 50/50 incidents.

That's why refereeing is such a painful subject for most smaller teams or those teams that have fewer or no ''superstars''. Shitty, unfair football refereeing at its best

Playing the devil's advocate and viewing things from FIFA's pov, with some of the more household names like Spain, England, one of Croatia/Mexico, maybe even Uruguay and hopefully Portugal ... leaving the games, it is natural to see FIFA giving strict order to the refs to be more lenient towards big teams and star names ... and sort of see to it that they advance and continue. They wouldn't tolerate a world cup with the likes of iran, Honduras, Ecuador, Bosnia, Algeria, ... continuing while big ticket teams AND THEIR DROVES AND DROVES OF FANS leave.

Absolutely unfair. This is not what ''sports'' is about. But when you look at it from the angle of one of the most corrupt organizations in the world, financially it makes so much sense to sacrifice lesser teams

At one point, the Argentinian player removed the corner flag and threw it onto the ground. The gutless ref ran over to the side line and instead of giving a yellow card for delay of game , he bends over, picks up the flag and puts it back in.

^ I know that was an easy yellow.. penalty I can understand as other teams have suffered like that too.

That's always been the case in football, bigger teams and names get the benefit of the doubt.

There really wasn't that much wrong with the referee's performance last night. Two occasions he touched the ball were accidental and happen in games before. And the penalty was a 50-50 decision. Replays showed contact was made with the ball so it was actually a stunning decision if anything.

Yes, I also mentioned this somewhere. The guy should have received a yellow card. Even kicking the ball after whistle into goal makes referee mad enough..

Look at minutes 44 and 87. two fouls on Reza and two opportunities lost. The ref let the game continue.

We need to capture those moments and display them here on main page and also have the video clip of all those critical moments posted everywhere.

He was apparently from Bosnia and was probably trying to give Bosnia the benefit here, FIFA shouldn't allow such thing.

In the match belgium vs. Russia the ref. did not given a penalty too in the 30 minute.

Such bad referees in this world cup......
