I think it makes no sense where the ref. come from. All ref. at this world cup are very bad.

          ?

The guy reffed the Europa League Final. They didn't bring him out a slum in Belgrade, give him a whistle and tell him to try his best.

Clear indication that he guessed (Dejagah got the last touch and that the defender made no contact with him). But he guessed correctly is the point, the defender made contact with the ball.

You're joking, right? Zabaleta got Dejagah first, and then the barest touch.. I mean so slight that it didn't visibly alter the path of the ball. Dejagah had him beat for a possible shot-on-goal (although it would have been a tight angle), or a cross on the ground, across the goal-face, for someone to tap it in.

You're trolling, if you believe otherwise. That's a stone-cold penalty.. well it would have been if it were an Argentine player taken down. Heck, even if the Argentine water-boy had been tripped on the sideline, it would have been a penalty.

What made it so emotionally for me the most was, (maybr cause im iranian i felt this way) I have never ever seen 11 players play with this much heart, be ina bayad goft bagheyrat!

after Messi's goal when Sadeghi fell apart, was just too much for me to see him like that

                  Be objective.

                  1) Defender touches the ball.
                  2) Defender makes contact with ball before the contact with the player.
                  3) It's not a penalty.

Quit obfuscating, although from that angle, it does look like he got his tippy-toe on the ball first. (From another, not shown in that video, it did not) But it does not matter because:

1)Defender BARELY gets a toe-tip on the ball, and doesn't affect path.
                    2) Defender "touches" Dejagah by taking him out.
                    3) Defender's contact with Dejagah CLEARLY prevents him from getting to the ball for a scoring opportunity. CLEARLY. Once Zabaleta went to ground, it was over. He was out of the play. It's not as if it were travelling too fast for Dejagah. He was going to control it, and he had Zabaleta beat.

That's a penalty. If you don't realize this, please brush up on the rules. Just like "getting the ball" doesn't matter, if said defender goes through the opponents body and breaks a leg, it also doesn't matter here, where Zaba prevents a goal scoring opportunity.

Please go back to under your bridge, troll.

Gentlemen, you are all wasting time arguing the merits of the penalty, the point is it already happened, I just like the rest of the world (except for Argentines) wish he'd called it but alas he didn't, lets move on we can't change the past, lets just be positive and look forward towards the Bosnia match. Our team put up a beautiful display that most elite teams would be proud of and the entire world knows it, nothing to be ashamed of, a 1-nil loss to Argentina is very respectable, lets support our boys and hope for a good match against a tough Bosnia side.

                        1) The extent of the defender's touch doesn't matter, he either makes contact with the ball or not. In this case, he does.

                        2) The touch on Dejagah is simply down to the follow-through from a legitimate tackle. It wasn't 'careless, reckless, or using excessive force' hence, it's not a foul by definition.

                        3) You're presumably saying here that it was a foul on the grounds of 'Impeding the progress of an opponent'. Unfortunately, that won't hold either as it was due to a legitimate tackle that won the ball. The fact the player goes down to the ground because of it is irrelevant if the defender makes contact with the ball first. Instead of throwing insults like an idiot, try discussing with actual referral to the rules:

baba welkon dige, fabio cannovaro one of the greatest defenders we have everyseen said that was a penalty. Zabelta gets a touch on the ball, BUT dejagah was still going to get to that ball and half a 1v1 with the keeper, zabelta then hacks down dejagah like he is a pine tree
