In other news, Zhang Xizhe from China has been signed by VfL Wolfsburg. I have never heard of this player before, he only has 10 caps for China NT and now gets transferred to a decent Bundesliga side. 2nd tier Asian team China can get these kind of transfers done, but Iran with all our talent ends up in Al-Arabi, Al-Shahania and Al-Ahli.

It is a bizarre signing bro, but he could very well be good who knows. To me it seems that they are trying to tap into the Chinese market in order to build their brand.

I searched him up on YouTube, he seems like a prolific goalscorer as a CAM though. But then again, the Chinese league isn't exactly a decent one and Chinese players usually don't last long in Europe. But who knows, he may do well in Wolfsburg and become a good player for Asia.

          Korea vs. Saudi friendly
          Both teams fielding strong teams.

Sharing it because it's been a good game so far so it's worth a watch with possible Iranian opponents in AC2015.
Even game so far. Son hit the post with a thunderous volley shot and Saudi had a shot brilliantly saved by the new Korean GK. The Korean defence doesn't look that strong tbh. Back to back action. Korea attacking and pressuring hard at the Saudis atm

          Enjoy:

Asian Cup - Group Preview - Friendlies, Information and more..

Did anyone notice Japan had a friendly against Auckland FC which is not even in the A League. ( before you let me know A league is Australian League, Wellington Phoenix from NZ plays in A League). Guess it is not only TM.

Korea's pressure and possession finally pays off. Own goal by Saudi off a Saudi player's belly off a freekick whipped in by Son

I honestly dont care if Japan plays clubs, we want to become Asian champions so we should look to ourselves and prepare the best way possible.

South Korea showing Saudi's flaws. Saudi just doesn't have it anymore. Well not yet when it comes to playing against the top asian nations. They're getting slaughtered.

Thankfully for Saudi, Korea's finishing and last pass in attack has been lacking.

Saudi also doesn't have that one hustler and game changer like Son or Dejagah.

It's a disgrace for nasser al shamrani to be Asia's best player. He doesn't deserve it. Just because his team in ACL did well and he only scored and did well thanks to the few foreign players (Thiago Neves) next to him in Al-Hilal

                    2-0 South Korea FT

2nd goal scored in 92nd min after a good play by S. Korea.
                    Good confidence booster for them.

However, their defence looked shaky and Saudi seemed too out of it to exploit it who just came from a 4-1 Bahrain loss.

Things looking real bad for Saudi. I know they faced S. Korea but they were utter shit for the most part in terms of passing, pressuring, etc. Their players seem selfish too and lose the ball way too often.

                    S. Korea looks good but still needs that clinical pass/finisher because not all teams will let S. Korea run around their defence like that such as Iran, Australia, Japan, Uzbekistan, and another team on a good day. Their defence seems off still. Not much in there has changed since their friendly in Azadi.

Our first group opponents (Bahrain) also had a win against Jordan just now.

i watched second half of Korea vs. Saudi.
The Sauds have very big problems to play just football from the behind to the front, under pressure, very shaky defence in total. they seems to do their best and they will surely progress with the games. i rated them higher and predict to win their game, because the Saudis progress in a tournament normally. And their group is very balanced.
But their performance today did not impressed me, only one time at the corner of the box with a good shoot from a difficult position, but i do not want to underestimate them. with this preperation vs. korea they have it easier vs. china and north korea. we will see.

Probably no wonder that Bahrain beat Saudis 4:1 and today also 1:0 vs. Jordan. Bahrain is in form, and just want to inform you they won their group in front of Qatar, and collect 4 points from Qatar and did not lose a single game. Will not be the easiest opponent people think about our group.

The 8-0ers are terrible. Not money or foreign players can save their behinds. From the ground-up, they are horrible.

Bahrain won 1-0 over Jordan.. They have had good results in the recent matches. They have only lost 2 matches out the last 17. Maybe they will surprise in our group:

And Iranians still think we'll beat them with ease.
