If we have a legend among us fans it's you. Unfortunately not many know about how much time/money you have spent in the last years to keep this site not only alive, but also making it that successful. webmaster >>> IFF.

We have had other legends going as far back as 60s iranpak, Kalani, shahrokhi, Hejazi, roshan. But Karimi is and will most probably will remain in a unique league of his own.

A true wizard which if it wasn't for the bad injury in buyern, he would have probably gone to play for the likes of ManU, Real and Barcelona.

Closest player the world has to offer to remotely match his skills, none other than Messi!!

that video and commentary almost brought back memories and tears to my eyes.

Karimi was definitely my favorite player growing up and one day I'll be proud to tell my kids that I watched him, Kia, Daei play together.

Thanks for all the good times, Ali jan!

Still cant believe its all over. Without him playing something is really missing in my daily life.

I always wondered if there is any footage of him playing Futsal, now i would love to see much more of it.

The greatest ever. Proud to have followed his entire career.

we will never ever again have that feeling inside us that each time KARIMI touched the ball anything could happen. No single iranian player will ever create this feeling again.

              Can we clone him please?

Asia's best player, EVER. He is a legend, both on and off the pitch.

                  The magic and irreplaceable trio:

Daei - most effective TM player
                  Mahdavikia - most successful legionnaire
                  Karimi - most talented player

                  Damn true!
The pressure was always on his shoulders - the last hope when things didn't go well. Simply a UNIQUE player - and all that despite him playing during a strong generation of Iranian football.

he could easily be one of the standout players in our Current TM..!! even NOW..!!

problem is he has set such a high standards, that every time he adorns the national jersey, most fans expect him to pull AC2004 outa his ass and dribble half the opposition and score goals..!
he definitely shouldn't have quit club football yet..!! i can't hardly get myself to even check IPL table, much less watch a game or highlight..!! its gonna take a while for me to even give a fk about iran football without his presence..!

That's what partly makes him so incredible. We all know he could give more, we all know what he did and what he could do. Instead, he has left us wanting more, rather than wishing he would just say goodbye because his welcome has been worn out. His legend status will be cemented forever. While you will have to consult the record books to see what Ali Daei (no disrespect intended) did in 20 years, most of us will be recounting Karimi stories to our children and grandchildren through the use of our memories and nothing else!

He is the initial reason I got so interested in football. Both watching and following TM, and playing it my self. Ali Karimi is a legend, I am so happy I got to see him and be at least somewhat close to him (saw him during a TM game in Azadi when i was near the front row). Thanks for the amazing memories Karimi

I still don't understand why he was not a part of TM in the world cup, we had no creativity what so ever, I think CQ made a big mistake by not including him, to him and Iranian Team.
