he wants to be like Hejazi..lol..Hejazi e khodabiamorz was all about Iran and the national team, but this guys best goal is the one at club level?? and he is proud he played only at club level?? what a loser with all due respect, he is just a nobody, sorry, he might have scored many goals for his club and fans like him, but come on ss fans..how can u even support this guy??

he is just way out of it with his saying Esteghlal fans understand him..now he wants to be a coach? how?

he doesn't know anyone who is a talent. and he is going to stop players from going to the NT and tell them to play for SS instead? come on dude, go coach an Arab club as I am not sure you will get a job in Iran..specially after this interview.

That was a good exposure for the guys fans who want to claim that Majidi is some sort of legend. He isn't. He's a half decent player who wasted his career on Arab countries and looking pretty.

Khodesho cheghadr naaaaaz kard gooogooli. That player "ke nemishnasi" is already 5 times the player Majidi has become in his whole career. Funny thing is that the probability of people outside Iran knowing Jahanbakhsh is most likely to be higher than those knowing Majidi. You can ask a Dutch or let's say English football expert who Majidi is and who Jahanbakhsh is, that person will answer the same and say "Majidi? Never heard of that. Jahanbakhsh, one of the most promising talents in todays football."

At 25, Jahanbakhsh will have done much more for Iran than Majidi in his whole career. Mark my words and quote me in few years.

Majidi revealing a picture of his Arab boss on his shirt is no worse than Perspolis legend Ali Daei bragging about his special relationship with his imaginary Arab friend Khanoom Zahra. At least, Majidi is realistic and knows who pays his bills whereas Ali Agha is just plain old superstitious Arab worshiper. But you won't see Perspolis fans complaining about Daei's khayemali habits.

Could you do us all a favor and post a side by side career evaluation of Daei, Karimi and Majidi. You must be seeing things the rest of the world is not.

Why? Does accomplishing more in your career give you a carte blanche to be khayehmal?
Here is a side by side comparison for Perspolis fans.
Daei = World class khayehmal; Majidi = self interested khayehmal; Karimi = Probably not very khayehmal at all
Parvin = Greatest khayehmal in history; Hejazi = One of the few Iranian footballers worthy of respect

                        Comment

Majidi was on the receiving end of the venomous Iranian media for a long time (as have been many of our players). Some players take it in stride, some players don't take it well at all.

I feel like Majidi is a mix of both. When he played he would not lash out at the media much, if at all. Now that he retired I feel like he released all the years of bitterness that he had been keeping inside him for the last few years.

Believe me, there are lots of players in Iran that have been treated poorly by the Iranian media (fairly or unfairly). Majidi just seems more jaded because of it, and he had a platform to throw a few punches back on Navad. Whether it was the right decision to do so is another debate.

An idol has been created of Nasser Hejazi. He was a good man, but lets forget he operated in the same filthy football everyone else was as well. That doesn't mean he is dirty, it simply means no one is perfect.

Majidi can score 109 goals and say whatever religious stuff he wants to say.
Majidi can not be compared to Daei, Karimi, Mahdavikia, Bagheri, Nekounam, Teymourian, Hejazi... all the other legends of our football.

Ain't nothing religious about Daei. He started doing this kinda khayehmali just as soon as he retired. It was a calculated move to get more lucrative coaching positions. Within two years and without any coaching licenses he became TM coach.
Nobody is comparing Majidi to TM players. The issue here is the hypocrisy of Perspolis fans in criticizing Majidi for that picture while they openly consider Daei and Parvin to be Perspolis legends who happen to be the two biggest khayemals Iranian football has ever produced. Just last month there were thousands of Perspolis fans crying over Daei's firing. Majidi was a good club player for Eses, just as Mansourian was. Neither one was particularly productive at national level but that has nothing to do with their club careers. If Perspolis fans can forgive Daei and Parvin for being world class khayemals, Eses fans can also support their best players despite their character flaws. And as far as Khayemali goes, sucking up to the regime and crying over dead Arabs is just as bad as having a picture of an Arab sheikh on your shirt if not worse.
