he is just about the only legit CM/CAM taken along to these games so he seemed to be playing for both sides..!!
clear sign that he will be a starter both games, and probably play a lot minutes, unless we get ahead and Ebrahimi is brought on to preserve scoreline..??

Well, there is sense to saying some of CQ's picks for these two games don't serve Iran's future.
For example instead of calling a bunch of 30+ players like shojaei,beikzadeh, ... who will definitely not figure in our WC team, he could have brought in a few youngsters or at least 24-25 year olds who would still have time to be in the WC's, to gain experience, confidence and learn.

That would have helped Iran far more than allowing a few washed up old players (close to retirement) play.

What you don't mention is that the players that are in CQ's plans for the future are injured (Rahmani), face sarbazi issues (Rafiei & Pouladi), or are with the Omid team (Azmoun, Jahanbakhsh, and a few other players CQ was interested in).

The average age of those five players alone is 23.2.

به گزارش "ورزش سه" و به نقل از سایت فدراسیون فوتبال، در بدو ورود تیم ملی به اتریش، احسان حاج صفی از ناحیه پا درد داشت و بر همین اساس بنا به صلاحدید کادر فنی تمرینات خود را آعاز نکرد تا معاینات پزشکی وضعیت او را مشخص کند. پس از بررسی های کادر پزشکی تیم ملی مشخص شد که این بازیکن با مصدومیتی از قبل روبه رو بوده است. بنابراین طبق تصمیم اتخاذ شده این بازیکن امشب به ایران باز می گردد تا دوران مداوای خود را در ایران پیگیری کند. پس از این کادر فنی تیم ملی از یعقوب کریمی بازیکن استقلال دعوت کرد که برای حضور در ادامه اردوی اروپایی تیم ملی به اروپا سفر کند. قرار است این بازیکن از اردوی تیم ملی در سوئد به جمع ملی پوشان اضافه شود. تیم ملی فوتبال ایران ششم و یازدهم فروردین در دو دیدار دوستانه به مصاف شیلی و سوئد می رود.

Basically our best striker, our best left wing, our second best right wing, our best LB are out. One of our best CB (PAG) is injured and CQ is leaving... what else? Probably Beikzadeh gets injured as usual. We have a depleted squad, old, injured and with no motivation since CQ is leaving... I don't expect too much from them. Our left wing is almost broken and right wing rather not promising. Heydari the useless, Javad the injured (old and out of form), and tired and lazed Dejagah are not something I am looking forward either.

If Gordani turns up as a good LB and Y.Karimi covers for Hajsafi then the match against Sweden is more promising, but they are going to play against Zlatan!

I have always asked for Y.Karimi to join the team. While Hajsafi is good at counter-attacks, he didn't help much in defense in Iran-Iraq match when Pooladi was out, so Karimi may change this aspect a little.

Damn HS injury is tough blow to an already suspect & weakened Left side ..!
Unlike most I really like Amiri & I think too many here ignorantly scapegoating him for our AC demise.
Surely CQ will move Ashkan to LW & Amiri & beijzadeh gonna be the next most likely players to play on Left. ?
