حسن معتمدکیا، مدیررسانه ای تیم ملی در خصوص احتمال بازی این تیم با آفریقای جنوبی به خبرنگاران گفت:

نتیجه بازی روز جمعه آفریقای جنوبی و سودان در مرحله انتخابی جام ملت های آفریقا تکلیف این مسابقه را مشخص خواهد کرد.وی افزود:
چنانچه آفریقای جنوبی بتواند حریف خود را شکست دهد صعودش قطعی خواهد شد و در آن صورت با ایران یک بازی دوستانه انجام خواهد داد اما برگزاری این دیدار در تاریخ 18 نوامبر قطعی نیست.

Red was basically our starting 11 at the wc except for the keeper...
i guess this is a good sign that our youth are doing great but then also scary to see how our main team lost to our younger players!
good to see azmoun scoring 2! kid has been scoring for tm every chance he gets ( going off the portugal camp)

Agree with you 1oo% its great to see! but i was just a tad shocked!! in a good way of course
