Old song from Zia "Zagaloo" (Kuwait's manager the famous Brazilian Mario Zagallo) about Iran vs Kuwait games in world cup qualification of 1978.
He had made many comments about beating Iran and hence after their loss, Zia made this song. This is dedicated to all other coaches who think they can beat Iran easily :-)

I disagree with the bold part. Keeping CQ is good up to a point, after that we need someone with more skills. We should keep him for U23 team and scouting young talents. He is good at introducing new names.
Someone with more skills? like who? who with "more skills" than CQ would come to Iran?
Let me answer: NONE. NONE. NONE. Why don't people understand that any discussion of Carlos requires considering the alternatives to Carlos?

Even Sir Alex Ferguson couldn't turn Iran into much more than CQ has done. With our lack of investment, proper facilities, youth development, etc., nobody can vastly improve this team.
CQ has instilled some tactics in this team, but our teams do well enough in every level based on the raw talent of our players. If Japan or Korea had our football investment and development, they would be on the quality of Thailand or Vietnam. It says a lot about our players that they are able to do what they do without a proper youth development or investments into our football.
The coach is a small part of our success/failure. Iran is a top 5 team in Asia with or without a proper coach. With a proper coach, we are top 2 or 3 (number one right now), but we are just a regional power with a proper coach. We won't ever make it to a top 8 in the World Cup with the current system in place. We won't win the Asian Cup or go to the Olympics with the current system.
So, if we fire CQ, we'd still be competitive. If we hired Sir Alex Ferguson, we wouldn't do a substantial amount better, because the best tactics in the world won't work if the players haven't had tactical training from a young age.
For the foreseeable future, Iran will be good based on raw talent alone, but we won't ever achieve our full potential until the problems are fixed at the roots. It's like arguing over the president ruining/making the country. The president has some power, but the congress/parliament are a lot more to blame, but aren't as prominent as the president alone.
I remember not that long ago someone opened a thread and needed some advise which matches to go and they wanted to watch a game of Azadegan too. It's probably them.

LOL Kuwait hired Zagaloo because he had made Brazil world Champions in 1970. Well with the talent Brazil had that year even my grandmother would have gotten them great result.
