    CQ's letter to ISNA :

Basically, the Sports Ministry is asking IFF to start working on bringing CQ back and signing the contract with him immediately. They are saying that it was spun in the media that they were against CQ continuing his contract and this is not true. They had no intention to interfere in the negotiations, blah blah blah.

Wasnt Goudarzi indirectly dissing CQ when he ridiculed the players who were whispering in his ear to let CQ stay ?

Also wasnt Goudarzi a replacement for Rouhanis rejected sports minister ?

I dnt like this Goudarzi guy, he (just like that Rouhani spokeswoman) have no place in this current admin, their statements are always the same and stubborn.

I think I lost the count on how many times he left Iran and came back to sign the so called contract to leave and be unfinished after. I think this time he won't come back for sure

How long does it take to reach an agreement? One month is ridiculous, either IFF has unreasonable points or CQ simply doesn't agree with the termination thing.

No Bro, that is what we call Irooni Zerang Bazi/Bazari Bazi which is ugly and no longer accepted by most western countries. The idea is to promise the world, get the other side to agree then bring excuses to reduce the contract terms or gain an advantage. Unfortunately, we are masters of this and in CQ's case, he did not see that coming since this was his first experience renewing a contract with Iran. After the WC, due to our only good performance against Argentina, CQ had great choices and those offers are no longer on the table. He is getting schooled the Persian way and has to make a tough choice.
Either way, it is very negative due to lack of integrity going forward.

I also have a feeling that we will finally close the deal with CQ.

TBH bro, I don't think this was an issue of IFF trying to change the terms of the contract as much as it was CQ trying to do that. That whole late payment penalty issue was pretty silly if you ask me and I mentioned that earlier. If I tried to do that on any of my contracts, I'd get laughed at (trust me I have tried ).

Of course, the other issue of termination is still a bit foggy to me. I highly doubt there were no termination clauses in the original contract offer and again I highly doubt IFF would have originally offered to pay one year severance for 5 months of service. So, this looks like CQ trying to make the terms more favorable to himself and there is of course nothing wrong with that - that should be anyone goal in negotiations - but he overplayed his hand IMHO.

What Thursday was this in reference to anyway?

I still say the blame has to be on IFF. Either sign him or don't, but make a decisive decision.

If they are allowing themselves to be toyed with by CQ, then they're idiots. If they are toying with CQ then they are also idiots.
