I think it was a good idea to bring Dejagah and Gucci for the short term. But I think we should rely on our young talents now. If we could send a 17 year kid in Atletico, a 19 years old kid to Rubin, an other to NEC, it shows that we should rely on this new generation instead of searching some swedish 2nd division players or the usual 28 years ago average IPL player.

Partly agree. But I think only Jahanbakhsh, Azmoun and Ezzatollahi are not enough to compete for the R16 next World Cup. We should have as much as European based players as possible, of course not amateur league but reputable ones. I think 2nd division leagues like Spain, Germany, Portugal, England should be our standard. IMO I don't think Nazari didn't bad when he was invited to TM, despite playing in the 2nd division of Sweden. And at least these guys play in Europe, I would take them over any player in some Al-Tokhmi league.

You could say exactly what you said in the above quote...to counter his argument. I think this would be a much more civil and stronger point that to say Clipsport is concerned with the wants of IR officials. To be fair who cares if ClipSport is pro IR or not...I am guessing he has an interest in football since he is on this forum and not a political one. Perhaps Clipsport was trying to convey hiring CQ is not wise since he does not have government support...perhaps he was saying the Sports Minister is right in dismissing him...perhaps he was just stating a fact or regurgitating news...perhaps perhaps perhaps...but no where did Clipsport say he is concerned with IR officials wants and needs...
Now I am not saying his argument is a strong or even wise one...but he is entitled to use whatever he wants however he wants in his points...and this is the net, we can only ask him to clarify or counter with our points...but to speak to Clips concerns beyond what is typed on the screen is just a remedy for civil discord on PFDC...anyways let's leave it at that. It isn't an excuse when your main competition is more prepared than you. Soccer is a sport based on chemistry, practice and preparation. Without those no team can effectively compete at their best. Not sure why those would be considered an excuse.

Without CQ we wouldn't have Dejagah and Gucci, our best players during this worldcup. The only reason these players join TM was to have CQ coach them. That's the reality and no one can question that.

Dejagah and Gucci came to play for Iran and help Iran go to the WC. This is what they have been saying themselves. If they came b/c of CQ's charming personality and don't actually want to play for Iran, then....

The reality is the Dejagah and Gucci came to play for Iran b/c they are Iranian and it is an honor to play for TM. This is why they are loved by all fans.

Sure JB, Azmun and Ezzi aren't enough but TM should promote our young that are promising and help them to go to Europe. Calling average 28 years old average IPL players and 35 years old glories just for short term success (which is far from guaranted btw) will lead us to nowhere.

IMO, our youngs are more that capable to succeed in Europe, no need to beg for a guy abroad that has one great grand mother that was iranian.

Whether all of us like CQ or not, we have no better options than him unless Emam Zaman shows up from nowhere and takes it upon himself to guide TM to victory in AC 2015.

Camran Khan Emam Zaman won't dare to show up with these thieves in charge. But if he does, he will take a look at IFF and its organization and will simply say: "OH S**T, I AM OUT OF HERE".

ultimately what i think is that our football in terms or professionalism and good proper international level training was very low compared to the other nations at the world cup. what CQ did was to try and get that level up and helping the overall training of the teams to produce better more effecient players for the national team. now i think he somewhat did try to do that and now is the time for him to produce the goodies. he has vingada with him in team omid as well and we all know these 2 have been working together before. and this should produce some interesting performances. ACQ will be probably with a lot of youngsters who are keen to develope and reach the same that jahanbakhsh ansarifard and azmoun did. and hopefully we will see a new era of young fast and technically gifted TM

It seems that Carlos Queiroz has reached an agreement with the Iranian Football Federation.

The Portuguese coach said, "After reviewing the agreement that Kaffashian has sent me, I am ready to renew my contract."

He added, "I want to return to Iran and start planning... I will try to come back as soon as possible."

Ignore the IPL? i think he's the first coach ever who records and watches every single match of ipl everytime. if he doesn't his staff will for sure. thats why you have a team of coaches to work together and try to make progress in a nations football. sorry but that is the most idiotic thing i ever heard while he said it himself over 100x that he and his staff watch all the ipl matches.

With Dejagah, I honestly think it was a matter of timing. From what I remember, he had told Ghotbi that he would join TM for Asian cup but didn't b/c of club duties (Bundesliga doesn't stop for Asian cup).

Former Manchester United coach Carlos Queiroz will sign a new contract with the Iranian national team, ending speculation linking him with the vacant manager's role at Leeds United.
Queiroz, 61, emerged as a shock candidate for the role at Elland Road following owner Massimo Cellino's decision to sack David Hockaday just six matches into his tenure.
Cellino has already indicated the search for a new manager will be an extended process. Former West Brom boss Steve Clarke, current caretaker manager Neil Redfearn and former strikers Robbie Fowler and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink remain in the running for the position, but former Real Madrid coach Queiroz has now ruled himself out.
"The contract with the head coach of Iranian national football team will be signed before Monday, probably on Sunday," Abbas Torabian, head of the economic committee of the Iranian football federation, told ISNA news agency.
"Queiroz sent his positive response through email last night and he is supposed to travel to Iran as soon as possible to sign the contract."
Queiroz, who served as Sir Alex Ferguson's assistant at Old Trafford for spells in 2002-03 and 2004-08, guided Iran to the World Cup in Brazil this summer, where they provided stubborn resistance against Nigeria, Argentina and Bosnia before eventually finishing at the foot of their group.
Current manager Redfearn won his first match in charge of the west Yorkshire club against Bolton Wanderers and despite the growing interest in the permanent role from other candidates, Cellino is prepared to give the former head coach time to stake his claim for the job.
"I've decided to leave the team to Neil. For the moment it is the best thing to do," Cellino told BBC Leeds.
"At the moment too many coaches call me and I'm confused. I think it is best to keep going with a Leeds man right now, that knows football and makes the team play in a beautiful way."
Cellino is facing fresh controversy after the Football League announced they would force the owner to sell his majority share of the club, should the Italian courts reject his appeal against a conviction for tax evasion.

He is out of the running for the Leeds united job, because he accepted the Iran coaching job.
