In the next Persian Gulf Cup we gone have 2 more Khuzestani teams

its not possible for Foolad Novin to be promoted, under FIFA law 2 teams from the same club cannot compete in the same league, this same thing happens with Barcelona and Barcelona B and also happened a few years back to Sepahan where their novin team was promoted but FIFA did not allow them to compete in the IPL

Next year Lig1 teams require to have a pro team status just like IPL teams. IFF may be forced to reduced lig one numbers of teams.

I highly doubt that will be the case but if Foulad Novin advanced they have to sell their right to another pro team, that could be another Khuzestani team ( example MIS or SNA) or another city.

I doubt Foulad Novin can stay on top for whole season but if they do they will try to transfer their IPL right to a relegated Khuzestani team if possible ( There is a regulation against that ).

Naft Masjid soleyman is a candidate for Relegation and Esteghlal Khuzestan is not safe either.
SNA situation is not hopeless , they wish they can return to IPL.

if foolad novin were promoted to IPL do they have to sell their rights? or can they refuse to be promoted and stay in the azadegan league and the 2nd place team (Esteghlal Ahvaz right now)? Also dont Lig 1 clubs already have pro club status?

If Foolad Novin advances, I'd love to see them give their spot to Pas Hamedan. They were the 2004 IPL champions and gave Iran national team players like Nekounam and Hashemian.

The spot would naturally be given to the next team in the rankings. That's the fair thing to do. Not auction it off like they did with Sepahan Novin years ago.

Also IFF should not allow any club to join IPL. There should be some minimum standards for teams that get promoted. Otherwise the spot should be given to the next team. A couple of years back Gahar got promoted, and they had nothing. No stadium, not proper training fields, no "rakhtkan" etc. Mes Sarcheshmeh was another team that came up and had nothing. They always just get relegated the next season anyways.

It brings down the overall quality of the IPL.

interesting fact: both Gahar Dorood and Mes Sarcheshmeh don't even exist anymore.
