The shortest path to become one of the best GK in the world was signing in Chelsea or Sporting IMO. And he would have more safety in finding decent club if things don't turn well there.

Taha not have videos, information that in 2 weeks I can sign him to a big club, he not make pre season, if he stay in Benfica B he not have opportunity to play any minute this year because: 1) is iranian; 2) they prefer goalkeepers that speak portuguese; 3) a young player that not make pre season is difficult to can have space, if he sign with benfica is 3 gk of this year.
Is better he play in Naval for now, to prove, adaptation etc... You not know that I only have 2 weeks to show him in Portugal (question with esteghlal and visa). After one week the coach goalkeeper of Benfica B and Braga B said to me: " He is really good potential, is different, but I only want to sign him to not play in other team rivaly, because is bad for my players put one iranian in 11 for now, he not make pre season with our." they not think that he is the next Buffon, but said that if he training every life in Europe can be player in big teams in future. All people said that he is potential, not have all because is young, need to evolution and this is why I put NOW in Portugal, in 5 months we talk again

If this guy will develop into a good player and will be signed by a first division european side then he must be considered for NT. But at the moment we don't need it since we have two good keepers. I prefered he was a CB, we badly need good defenders to be ready after Hosseini retirement. But i am still glad we have good replacements for the future who are developing in Europe (Zareei, Ezatollahi, Jahanbakhsh, Azmoun etc.)

Taha is 18 years old.... of course he's not gonna get called for Team Melli. He has made this move to develop, so by the time he's in his mid-twenties, he can be one of the greatest GK in Iran.

You are incorrect. The best path for him is the one that he has chosen. He has no problem finding clubs in the future as his agent is very connected and intelligent. You are giving your opinion on something without knowing the situation and atmosphere of the case.

Taha has jumped from Esteghlal youth to one of the oldest heritage clubs in Portugal, and is being watched by several clubs. This is nothing but a good thing.

There is no problem playing in 3rd Div right now for him. The kid is 18, not 26. He shouldn't stay there too long, but for now its no problem. It's not like he is "missing out" by not playing for Esteghlal.

If he is there for more than 2 years than I would say it was a bad move. But for now its a good move.

He can get his feet wet in Portugal, learn the language, absorb the culture, and get playing time. If Naval and Taha have a good season, you don't think better clubs will want him?

My prediction is that Zarei is not at Naval for more than 2 years, and will move on to a higher level after that. Let's wish him luck and happiness.

Is this professional, i.e. will Taha be paid to play for Naval?

Why would he sign a one year contract with a 3rd division team?!

Makes absolutely no sense. He might as well be on loan to a 3rd division team in Portugal (like someone else said.)

He signed to Naval so he can play. He didn't want to go on loan, because he doesn't want Esteghlal to have his rights. So instead he signed a one year to showcase his skills.

What some people don't seem to get is the fact that this guy is 18 years old, and needs to prove himself in order to score bigger contracts down the road. If he signs a 3-4 year deal with a big club at this age, his career will be controlled. This young man wants to have doors open, but first showcase his capabilities, so that in a couple years he can make a good move rather than taking a set salary from a European giant, and getting loaned left and right (like so many young players today).

First match for Taha is on September 6 (Saturday) against Uniao de Leiria.
Also here is a picture of the city that taha now plays in. What a lucky bastard.

Lol @ the ppl bashing taha. This is a place where he will be able to have an opportunity....where exactly do you think an Iranian kid with no experience will even get an opportunity to play in Europe?

As mentioned before, if it goes beyond a year or two, then you can start worrying. But until then, it's important he gets adapted to the European game and style and gets the necessary match praxis to develop as a keeper.

Best of luck to him and I hope he succeeds.

Nothing wrong with that and its good for him to develop + I wish him best of luck, but I find it hard to believe that Chelsea scouts would consider a 3rd tier player. Also, did they sign him or is he just on loan?
                          this is BS .

Actually I have a Cambridge certificate in English. So because I live in the Netherlands makes me less skilled in terms of English?

English is the secondary language they teach you here at school / university, don't be so judgmental.
