What achievement? The entire story is strange. He just signed for Naval de Maio in August and suddenly he has a contract with Sporting? Thats not how it works. I'd like to have more explanation about the situation, contract details, the deal etc before celebrating. Anything with Iranians involved isnt 100 % official until its proven.

The culture of southern Europe over Iran is like this, unfortunately :bs:
It is a struggle to talk about Iranians and football in Portugal, if I talk with my friends they said: "WHAT??? Football in Iran????!!! the pump makes ball when they play?"
Fortunately Carlos Queiroz has helped to combat this, and now Alireza Haghighi and Taha Zareei have proven professional and humble people.
I'm sorry, but that's the MOST RIDICULOUS thing I have ever heard. I lived in Portugal for a year and visited as recently as a April this year, have been to Spain many times and in fact got married there the first time and have met nothing but absolutely great open-minded hospitable people in those two southern European countries.

In fact, when we lived in Portugal in the 80's, our real estate agent became friends with us and took us everywhere with her and was proud to introduce us to all her family and friends. Then it was our landlord who constantly invited us over to his house and even took us to his church twice where we received VIP treatment and they dedicated two full sessions just to praying for Iran and the war with Iraq to end. To this day, I still haven't received that many hugs in such short period of time!

Last year when I went for a visit to the Azores, my Egyptian buddy was actually with us too and we stayed in a little town for a few days and we were practically treated like celebrities when we were there. By the end of the trip people we hadn't met were walking up to in the supermarket asking to take pictures with us! Sure, we made a few jokes ourselves here and there to clear out the air, but everything was all in good fun.

Ultimately, as I said in another thread in the general forum, people anywhere in the world will treat you with the same posture and respect that you extend to them - be friendly and respectful of their culture and way of life and they will treat you exactly the same way.

I'm the agent, we are a young group from Portugal, that thanks to me decide to help iranians players, what is the problem? Ali Hazami is not in first division because when he invite him to sign he invite more iranian agents... is simple this question

Guys lets take it a little easy. No one said that he signed with Sporting did they? Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not sure about the transfer rules, but isn't it possible for him to train with the team? Like a trial? I mean he had pictures with Rui Patricio etc, I doubt he would go there and hang around for nothing..

Sure, I have no issue with that statement. I just didn't agree with the statement that Portuguese people and southern Europeans more generally think Iranians are all about bombs and fighting with their women and children are starving there.

Yes is normal, all time I see iranians in trial in Sporting, Valencia, Dortumund
I never see one iranian from youth team in Iran and can have this oopportunity before.

Hopefully we will have more and more.

We have a young in atletico. We had players in trial with schalke, stuttgart, koln and after one week they were back to Iran.

So i will wait the end of the trial to celebrate, if it is successful
