Sardar Azmoun @ Rubin Kazan | 2014-2015

This is his first full season in the first team. Only 1 year ago was he really starting to make strides into the first team in the league (he had a handful of sub appearances before this and the occasional European game).
He was unfortunate to miss some very good chances at the start of the current season which caused him to be dropped from the team. I think his weight has been criticized also by the manager which may not have helped his cause.
Leaving to join a bigger side than Rubin at this point would be foolish in my opinion. He should persist with Rubin, or if he is that unhappy, ask for a loan spell. Half a season on loan at a lower Russian side like Ufa or Arsenal Tula would do him the world of good if he is guaranteed to start every week.
In a competitive team like Rubin, who have been on a very good run of form, it would be foolish of the manager to interrupt the team just to give Azmoun a start. It's unfortunate, but that is football, not every player can play, especially a 20 year old striker who in the grand scheme of things, is still very inexperienced.
There's no doubt he has class, but he needs to gain consistency and confidence, especially working on his composure. I know some of you may not see it this way, I try to provide a slightly unbiased opinion, but Azmoun is NOT the best striker Rubin currently have (3rd behind Devic and Portnyagin - Devic will soon leave though and doesn't play anyway) so there is no guarantee he will start every single week.

Truth is Rubin isn't giving him enough playing time. As someone who has watched many Rubin matches I can't label any player on the forward line as world class other than Azmoun. I noticed that after just one or two matches with no goals or assists the coach chose to bench him. He has every right to want to be in a team where he could get consistent playing time as its crucial for his development....I wouldn't mind seeing him in another Russian team at all.Team Meli Iran
