He was done for me in TM anyway so this is definitely a good move for him if the 65k offer is really true.

Best of luck to him on his future

5 of the 23 players on South Korea's latest squad are also playing in the Middle East, whether it be in Qatar, UAE, or Saudi Arabia.

I am sure over the last few years Masoud and his agent could have gone after big money in Arab leagues, but he wanted to continue in Spain. Now that he is not getting any offers since his style of play doesn't suit many other teams, then he owes it to himself to make some decent money in the last few years of his career. He did the best he could in TM and should be appreciated.

Well, then this would mean 6 players from our WC squad are playing in Arab leagues. That's nice..

Let's bring back Milad Meydavoudi to replace Masoud!

This is a fair and logical move, Time to start winding the career down over the next few years.

You guys do understand that this has nothing to do with Arabs or anything, despite the general anti-Arab sentiment on these boards. If these players weren't getting inflated contracts in Qatar, they'd be getting the same treatment in IPL. Our footballing system is horribly flawed, and it is not greed/corruption or anything stopping our players from making it to a second rate team like Hull City.

Our players just suck in comparison to most of the rest of the world. Even our best players of all time were never good enough to start consistently on top teams. I don't count stints at Bayern or a career at Hamburg in this conclusion. I'm saying a player who plays at Real, Barca, Man U, etc. Let's just cut our losses and STOP hoping for this or that next year. We hoped so much for Arsenal, Liverpool, Man United, etc. for some of our players and our best transfer was to Liga Adelante in Spain. We must be the only team in fifa history to go to the World Cup and have our only 2 players playing in the top flight of Bundesliga and EPL transfer out to lower leagues.

Our players are not in demand in Europe, so stop this bs blaming them for being greedy or whatever. These players could all happily stay in second divisions in Europe playing for pennies, but that's really the best you can get outside of Qatar or IPL as an Iranian player at the moment. We don't develop good players, we should face the facts.
