If anyone who does not know Masoud read your comments he would think he is 35 years old.
HE IS 30 FOT THE SAKE OF GOD! It means he passed his prime but he is not at the end of his carrer!
He has 2 to 4 years of bankable age left at best. It all depends on his financial health. If he has managed his finances well, then play for the love of the game and if not go for the money since injuries can end a career in a heart beat.

Whatever. At this point it's obvious they don't care anymore.

Correct. We must change our attitude from ''name based'' preferences to ''form and productivity''.
Simply hanging on to famous ''names'' while in reality they have been weaker than just about any newcomer in IPL, is only hurting our TM. Given shojaei's past two years' performance, I would say of we replaced him with some unknown mid from masjed Suleiman or peykan or ..., we'd be stepping up our productivity in terms of passing, speed, defense from up front, ... etc.

We just have to have the guys to let go of names and decide based on performance.

Now, will we have the guts to do this? Will the coach, whoever it may be, try this? I doubt it. A new hey will always try with the ''safe option''. And CQ has shown to be quite dog-headed about using inefficient players like shojaei! And that is the tragedy of our AC.

IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

TM aka Qatar League All Stars 2014-2015. Asian Cup 2015, here we come!

At least we will be as prepared as Qatar with this team

Looks like money talks. Espain teams offering him 80k-100k dollars but Qatari clubs offering 10 times more. So hard to blame him since he is not far from retirement and he is obviously not what he used to be.

One thing we know is that he really did try to stay in Europe and you can't blame him. 100 k per season is peanuts for any professional footballer. He's no longer a major TM player and hasn't been for years. Kudos to him for trying to stay in Europe. In his position we have Jahanbakhsh who is a zillion times better.

Iran vs Qatar in the group stages will just be a Qatari league game

Out of all the transfers to Qatar, this is the one that I personally bless. Good luck to him, good or bad he served his country. Showed up, travelled far and trained hard for TM.

No reason to redicull him. You never know he may find his early Osasuna form in Qatar.
