no the reason ashkan did not play the full 90 minutes until now was his fitness, same issue at fulham

Qatar has always been famous for their high level of fitness, above most players fitness who participate in the world cup, and who play in the EPL

im just saying, qatar is still a professional league, you guys make qatars league like some sunday kick around, it still is a professional league and requires a certain level of fitness. Im not saying qatar has the same fitness as england, but its still professional football and you need fitness. Doesn't matter if youre playing in qatar, england or iceland.

difference is those koreans and japanese also have a lot of other players spread in big leagues in europe.

i think there is a huge misunderstanding here, my original comment was that dejagah did not play the full 90 for al arabi until today because he had fitness issues, just like his time at fulham where he was left on the bench till the 60 or 70th minute, or when he started he ran out of gas. Same was the case with TM at the world cup he was subbed out around the 70th minute mark. Then somehow apparently without knowing it myself i was defending dejagahs move to qatar? I just made a comment about dejagahs fitness and his lack of playing time, and not about why he chose to play where and why.

It's rather sad if he wouldn't score a goal each game in such a Tokhmi league.

If he doesn't keep atleast a 1 goal/game ratio and becomes top scorer, he should just retire from football.

Interesting piece of info... I did not know that, so thanks for sharing.

I think we need to take it easy a little bit on Gucci and Ashkan. At least Gooch is scoring some goals - I'd rather see that than see him sit on the bench in the Championship. Some of you guys make is sound like he had offers from Man City and chose to go to Kuwait. He wants to play and score. As much as I would have wanted him to be doing that in a much better league, I do understand his need to play.

As I mentioned when the transfers went through, I'm not at all worried about Ghoochannejhad as opposed to Dejagah.

Regardless of the quality of the league he plays in, Ghoochannejhad has enough good sense to keep himself fit and will continue to retain his excellent finishing skills. Team Melli is also likely to deploy more offensive game plans during the Asian Cup (similar to the games in the Austria camp), which will provide further support and opportunities for Ghoochannejhad.

Dejagah is another story. For all his talent, the guy just seems uninterested in getting back to full fitness. He was the only player who was visibly tired in our World Cup games and has rarely played a full 90 minutes in a year and a half. Whereas Azmoun can be partnered with Gucci in a way that the two can compliment each other, Dejagah plays in the exact same position as Jahanbakhsh who is performing much better at the moment.

All Team Melli really needs right now is a for a strong and consistent AM to show up. Rafiei has been playing excellently so far this season so it remains to be seen if he can keep it up. Hasegawa (who I'm a big fan of) is another option if they can sort out the technical issues.
