Charlton Athletic is doing pretty good right now, they are 6th with 18 points out of 10 games..only few points below the top. If they keep performing like this they might promote to EPL. Now imagine if that happens, triple facepalm and khak to sare Gucci that he left for Al-Kuwait.

got a question for guys maybe someone can answer, I thought AFC teams are only allowed to use 4 foreign(1 Asian) players per game???? but seems like that doesnt apply to Qatari league, so they can use as many as foreign players they want! http://us.soccerway.com/matches/2014...?ICID=PL_MS_04

Apparently the main motive for both Ghoochi and Ashkan wasn't football itself, it was obviously the $$$ factor my brother. Do you think they really care what the status and standing of their previous teams are? absolutely not. The money Dejagah in particular got for his transfer to Qatar (Whatever the name of his team is, I for one don't care anyway and barely follow them any longer TBH) was so hefty that no other European club offer would have stopped him from moving there, unless the sums were of the same amount.
Nonetheless that's their personal choice, and we shall respect that. They gotta secure their future and make sure their retirement years are well covered!

Dejagah speaks about possibly playing against Japan in the Asia Cup Finals and facing former Wolfsburg teammate and friend Makoto Hasebe:
"Hasebe reunion moves Iran's Dejagah
AFC: October 4, 2014 - Iran World Cup star Ashkan Dejagah has set his sights on a reunion with former Wolfsburg team mate Makoto Hasebe in the final of the AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015.
Dejagah, who represented his nation in all three of Iran's appearances in Brazil during the summer, played for four seasons alongside the Japan captain at a time when Wolfsburg claimed the Bundesliga title in 2009.
"Makoto and I played together at Wolfsburg for at least four years, maybe five years, so I know him very well, he's a good player, a great player and I know he's a big player in Japan," the 28-year-old, who recently signed for Qatari club Al Arabi after two seasons in England with Fulham, said in the upcoming edition of AFC Quarterly, the Asian Football Confederation's official magazine.
"He has a lot of experience and hopefully I can see him because it's been a long time since I saw him. Maybe in the final, why not?"
Japan are the reigning AFC Asian Cup champions after claiming the title in Qatar in 2011 and four-time winners of the competition while Iran have won the title on three occasions, but not since 1976 when they claimed their third title in a row.
Both nations qualified for the FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil alongside Korea Republic and AFC Asian Cup hosts Australia, with the quartet going into the continental championship as the favourites to win the 16th edition of the competition.
Iran, in particular, impressed in Brazil despite not progressing beyond the group stages of the tournament and Dejagah believes the Carlos Queiroz-coached side can make a major impact at the tournament, which kicks off on January 9 in Melbourne.
"Now there are a lot of teams that are playing well, and there are no easy games in the world now," he says. "Every game is hard. Teams learn how to defend, so it's always difficult to beat also the smaller teams.
"In our group we have the United Arab Emirates, who have a good team, and also Qatar is also hard to play against. We have to focus on our game and work from game to game, and for sure there are also big teams like Australia, Japan, South Korea and Uzbekistan, I think they are a good team too. It will be a good Asian Cup in January.""
